earier today fixed neighbours newly aquired miggie(told him to join OOF) .Well there I am changing coil pack and my cat-Merlin jumps up into engine bay-Made me jump bashed my head on the hood bonnet! Blooming Chelsea supporter Am sure he was laughin at me-or I am gettin paranoid

Got home earlier and left my drivers door open while I put some bits an pieces in the workshop-got back in my car only to discover gained a passenger-my cat asleep on the passenger seat good job didnt lock the car up and leave it there!!

Few days ago had mystery coolant leak Found it sorted!! AND now--- engine management light on    code is 17-knock sensor-so how do i know which one?? I know the v6 is rubbish so want to sort it so i can sell the damn thing- so come on somebody must know the answer -

My v6 is seriously askin to be scrapped-Have a problem with expansion tank losing water-new tank and HBV not leaking-No water under car BUT oil filler cap gunked up and breather pipes-Even changed oil cooler-but problem still there-So what you think- headgasket seems to be only thing missed out do far.

On way home tonight when all of a sudden engine light comes on and then car dies AA turns up and cant read the codes-car too old(2000) so after firklin a bit he unplugs MAF-The car starts but engine management light on-Drives home-bit gutless but get here. replace MAF with brand new one- car starts but light still on-did paperclip test got 74  and 73 so now gettin beyond a joke.  am going of the blooming car rapidly

Went to Cuttselowe meet today-The Boy did Tech2 on my mig-all not too bad except-Power Sounder voltage low    Soon got that removed when I got home. Many thanks TB otherwise barby on wheels You made my day mate

General Discussion Area / wish my problems were only with miggie

Been away from the forum for a while-car needed tyres an a bit of welding(inside front arch) But biggest headache was when my mum got diagnosed with cancer  So obviously car had to wait until got mum appointments for radiotherapy -which now is sorted out and starts next Monday. So this weekend she stayed over at friends. Which gave me a chance to get tyres an do the welding and put miggie in for MOT-she passed no advisories!! So can pick mum up tomorrow in style and comfort!!

You may have seen other thread about my car stopping dead Well its still doing it Changed crank sensor/coilpack/leads/ plugs/fuel filter and MAF all from vauxhall its got cam covers and breathers done. Any ideas!!! Apart from summer banger meet!!!

Here's one-my car starts runs fine no missfires -breathers clean/new plugs/leads/dispack/camcovers.
YET still drive it for about a mile and it stops dead??? starts straight away again-So any ideas??? gotg me too a point of being ex miggie owner now....

This morning stripped cam covers to do the gaskets and put in G cams(got a set of 4 last month) But when covers were off-Had G cams in already-wow saved me extra work

few days now miggie is a pain to start - now before you think ah ha its>>>> I have done knock/cam sensors and rocker gaskets/plus/leads and dispack yet the damn thing cranks over for age before it starts even blocked off egr valve. when it starts it runs fine no missing or hesitation goes like stink but am getting fed up with it now!!!!
