« on: 04 August 2007, 15:59:45 »
Just a quick note to say hello and thank you to all you people who have already unknowingly given me a lot of help through your dedication to this excellent site. I have just bought a 1998 3.0 mv6. Needs a little tlc but is basically a great car.  My brother owns a garage and I have access to his diagnostic m/c. also have Tis software so if I can be of help just ask.  - John

Bought this last week. My old MV6 needed too much work and was getting a bit old.Not sure if I like the wheels on this new one,my old MV6 had the new style MV6 alloys. Personally I prefer them. Not sure what the colour is called on this new one either. Code is z20 H though. General Car Chat / VX dealers
« on: 03 June 2009, 17:47:57 »
Went to the local VX dealer today to buy 3 of the black plastic bungs which hide the plenum bolts on the V6. He said "Like  a lot of Omega bits they're no longer available" Is this true, are parts starting to become unavailable, or do we think he just couldn't be bothered to look because it was such a low value part? Silly I know but it really bugs me every time I open the bonnet & see they're missing!

Can anybody tell me the part number of this wheel? I went to the local dealer today to order one (to replace a scuffed one) But he reckons they're no longer available. If I can find the number (he couldn't tell me !) I'll try shopping around. It's from my 2003 Elite.Alternately , does anyone have a good seconmd hand one? Any ideas ?

General Discussion Area / Am I missing something?
« on: 27 July 2009, 17:53:32 »
What's the reason for blurring out registration numbers when people post pictures on here? I'm sure there is one , but it seeems to me that thousands of people see it every day on the road anyway. What am I missing?

A chinaman is sitting at the bar of the dog & duck on his lunchbreak when he looks across  and sees another chinaman. Intrigued at seeing a fellow countryman he walks over to introduce himself.

"Herro”  he says . “My names Chin. Haven’t seen you around these parts before. Are you just passing through or have you recentry moved to the area?”

”Herro” says the stranger. “actuarry I’ve rived around here for years. This is my rocal and  I come here every runchtime”

”Velly strange “ says Chin ”  I come here every runchtime too  but I’ve never seen you before. You must  normally have your runch 1 till 2. I always have my runch 12 till 1. That’s why I haven’t seen you. "

“No” replies the stranger. “have my runch 12 till 1 also”.

“Rearry , - that’s strange. I’ve worked in the sewage works just round the corner for 20 years . Never seen you before!” says Chin

“Even stranger – I’ve worked there 20 years too !” says the surprised stranger.

“Aaahh - You must work in the piss filtering department”. Says Chin ,” I work in the Poo squishing section”.

“  Bruddy hell” says the stranger “ Unbereivable- I work in poo squishing too!” Can’t berieve we never seen each other before!"

“Incredible” says Chin “It’s unberievable” “Were like Nips that pass in the shite!”
