Omega General Help / Blowing but not cold!!

The system seems to work i.e the changes speed according to settings, but no cool air on the LO setting.
Had a check under the bonnet and the air-con pipe is very hot, burning hot.
Is it a compressor fault or only a re-gas?

  Advise/Suggestion on removing the vacuum pipe from the servo unit .Is any special tools needed or just gentle persuasion?

Omega General Help / Exhaust problems or not??

The wife 'phoned to say  that some wadding type material was hanging out of the exhaust tail pipe.
The system was fitted 27K ago,with new cats.I've been told there is no excessive noise and the car is running normally.New engine is also 27K old  (3years old)
Is wadding normal in exhaust systems,or is some-one playing silly bu@@rs?
Any insights welcome, as the wife won't be home before dark.

Omega General Help / Fuel gauge and the whole 3 yards!!!!!!!!

Hello folks,as above petrol guage some-times drops to empty although the tank is usually nearer half/full.
 Also instant consumption is 0.3 gal/h was 0.2 gal/h before.
 Peddle trick and these codes was present.
   0116===coolant sensor
   0135===heated oxygen sensor /bank 1 sensor 1
   0460===fuel level sensor circuit
  0430===catalyst system low efficiency low

So is anyone near southend with a Tech 2 as i need  codes cleared.

  Another omega rides again,with head and manifold gaskets,cam/belt with usual ancillaries,oil cooler ,water-pump cam/cover gaskets oh and new plugs .
 She lives .

Omega General Help / Confused....emission code 0443.

Had the emission lit for three days.
 Pedle tricked ..got 0433 ,this seems to have three possible faults.
  1- emission evaporative system-purge control valve circuitshorted.
  2- emission evaporative system-control valve circuit open.
  3-evaporative emission control system gross leak detected.
 So which of the three is true as the light is now normal again?

General Car Chat / Insurance renewal due!

I've received the renewal docs for the Omega ,£286.20.
So did a search online and was quoted £266.59 and £20
cash-back lowering the premium to£246 .59.
To receive the benefits of the original insurer would have to add £26.50 legal assistance.£34.90 to protect my NCD.
Am i right ,to be thinking ,stay where i am? :-/
