My knurled wheel, rheostat? Has no effect on brightness of display.I assume that the whole switch unit  would need to be changed to sort this out.

General Car Chat / limp mode

My other halfs Volvo S40  2.0 diesel 57 reg with turbo now and again goes into limp mode. She switches ignition off  and restarts and its ok Would an engine cleaner such as Wynns help this problem.

Any ideas on getting a carbon pollen filter at a reasonable price.GM can get one from Germany for £43.00 I told them it might be better to buy a new car if thats the sort of price that they are charging for spares.

car locked doors and windows shut indicators flashing, unlocked door flashing stopped locked up and flashing again. unlocked flashing stopped locked up and now appears to be back to normal only time will tell, Any ideas..

Omega General Help / Wheel stuck on hub

Not my omega but my partners volvo. She has a screw in the rear tyre. I decided to fit the spare but could not get the wheel off it was "welded" to the hub. I tried some light knocking with a wooden mallet but no joy.Any suggestions? Alloy to steel problem?

To replace the front wheel bearings is it just a couple of bearings or a complete hub change and a scaffold bar. What sort of cost is a hub.

Omega General Help / carpet section under seat electrics

Fitting carpets after drying out (scuttle flood)  small section about 4 inches wide under the seat electrics under the plastic cover has felt one side and rubber the other which way around should this be, I removed the cover on the drivers side to check but there was no similar section present.

My car has been standing outside unused for about 4 months. I  have run the engine approx once a week.I now have mould appearing on various surfaces very bad on seat belts for some reason and on the passenger seat cloth.Any ideas on the best and safest way to get rid of this?

It is only about 3000 miles ago that I repaired the wire between body and boot lid this time I have 2 broken wires.Is there a permanent fix for this problem?
