General Discussion Area / Dogs and fireworks
« on: 05 November 2008, 22:06:36 »
Our Weimaraner  pup has just experienced his first November 5th, as posted recently our previous Weim was exposed to fireworks at an early age and had no fear of all the bangs and flashes. I'm absolutely made up  :)the pup showed no fear at all even when the next door neibour set off some rockets that were nearly as big as a scud missile. I stould with him and fussed him when the fireworks went off then gave him a treat to show him there as nothing to fear

Anyone see the northwest tonight on the bbc? It featured a stretched miggy all done out inside with a fitted shisha pipe 8-),since the smoking ban shisha cafes have not been allowed to let people smoke in side so this dude came up with the car idea.
Aparrentley he has been questioned on a few occasions by the local plod about the contents of the pipe when they have seen it parked up with smoke billowing from the open wndows. :D

General Discussion Area / Could it be the end?
« on: 10 October 2008, 18:09:41 »
G.M shares are trading at less than $5 each and $2 will buy you a Ford share. Could this be the end for G.M who where even before the current   financial crisis were in deep trouble. If they do fail the ripple out effect will be gigantic.

General Discussion Area / COME ON 'FESS UP
« on: 03 October 2008, 20:22:47 »
Evenin' all, :y listening to radio 2 this afternoon I heard an amusing feature where listeners where asked to phone in with confessions of amusing or embarrassing things that they had done in the past. So I thought it might be quite amusing to give it a go on here.
So here goes, me first. I'd like to apologise to Banks brass band playing on a Sunday afternoon in a local park, for an event that happened in the early seventies, ( when we were both 14 ) It was a friend ( who shall remain nameless) and myself that in the interval stuffed your instruments full of grass cuttings, empty crisp packets an scrunched up newspaper, causing you all acute embarrassment when you started to play the first tune of you second session................ sorry  :-[                                                                                            v

Just seen on the news that things are about to get tougher for people who buse the use of disabled badges. fines are to be dramatically increased and the perpetrator will end up with a criminal record. If it was up to me the b*stards would get there car crushed >:( >:(
