General Car Chat / plenum polishing
« on: 07 August 2010, 17:49:07 »
Really fancy the idea of doing this, but how do you all do it,and what with.Take it you rub it down first to a fairly flat surface, and then polish.I do have a 2 speed makita mop if that helps at all,and i believe you use autosol. :-/

General Car Chat / Toyota aygo
« on: 05 August 2010, 22:59:24 »
Sister in law has just bought a toyota aygo 1.0L,and it seems to idle a bit lumpy.Anyway the bloke at the garage who sold it reckons its because the emissions are so low, causing it to run like that.Is this correct?,me personally have never heard anything like that, but could be wrong. :-/

General Car Chat / Saxo water leak
« on: 20 July 2010, 11:06:33 »
As this forum is a lot more for the more mature type ::),i would rather post this problem on here.Missus saxo has water coming in the drivers footwell. Its had a new windscreen,so its not that, and it tends to drip just above the brake pedal.I know they are also prone to sunroof seals aswell, but surely if it was that,it would run down the side of the dash, unless its tracking to the brake pedal.Any ideas folks, too many pricks on the saxo forum to talk to. :D

General Car Chat / will it work
« on: 07 July 2010, 11:10:19 »
I am considering making my own quad exhaust for my car(2 twin piped back boxes),but i was thinking as there is two pipes going into the back box, would it be ok to convert the entry pipes into the back box into one, same with the other back box,and use one pipe into one box,and the other pipe inot the other box. :-/

General Car Chat / Full repaint underway
« on: 01 July 2010, 10:22:52 »
Well ive finally started to prep the mig for a full repaint, well except the roof anyway.Already repaired most of the dings in the doors, and the damage on the edge of the bonnet which the accident place supposed to have done, but it was shit basically. Also badge on the back removed, and holes filled,so should look pretty good when complete,so will try and get some before and after pics up on here,as it looks like a patchwork quilt at the moment,so it will be nice to compare the two. ;)
