well i said to her the other day i fancied a cheap cabriolet to have for the nice days  so today she bought me a astra cabby the old mk3  and im well pleased with it although gutless being the 1.6 8v but easy to work on  its just had new clutch and cambelt kit fitted and a new electric roof 5 months mot and tax all for the grand sum of Ł470 :)

clocked up 230k its a mondeo tddi ghia on a 51 plate and had its first ever breakdown today  as the battery give up so a call to the rescue people and new battery fitted and all is well again  ive had it from new and cant part with it as its been a cracking motor  :)

discovered a pool of oil on my drive today automaticly thought rocker gaskets even though recently done   spent a good while checking where the leak was coming from with no joy  then spotted the culprit  sump drain plug was dripping  nipped it up and now ok  so will do an oil change tomorrow and fit new  drain plug   moral of the story never overlook the obvious ;D ;D

but bought a rover 75  2.5 v6 instead  dont ask how that happened  but the 75 is a lovely car  only done 59k and mint  just had all the belts done and has a silky smooth 5 speed auto box   but i promise i will buy another omega soon ;D ;D

ordered one for the mrs today skoda dealer was spot on for customer service and even managed to keep the mrs happy which is more than i can do ;D  after a good long test drive we was both very surprised at what a good motor it is

my omega had to go as saving to buy a new house  so now ive got a 2004 mg zs   not many peoples favourite car but ive always liked them  and being a 1.8 its cheap to run and insure its quite nippy and the handling is excellent  heres a couple of pics  and its only done 57k with full history and mls head gasket

was going to put my daughter on my insurance policy but as shes only been driving a year they wont do it on the v6  but if i was to get a 2.0 or 2.2 not a problem  how the hell can that be surely theres not much difference between the 2.2 and 2.5  or is there?

and 1 to go  wishbones that is  did the driverside today 3 bloody hours and loads of cuts on hands   not looking forward to the passenger side as it has the headlight thingy  still at least now i know why im a plumber and not a mechanic although its a nice feeling that i did it myself and saved some cash :)

He is credited with discovering vitamin C and the components and reactions of the citric acid cycle. He was also active in the Hungarian Resistance during World War II and entered Hungarian politics after the war.

daughter has been involved in a accident :o she was taken to hospital but is fine just mainly shook up  the poor cow was sitting at a set of red lights at a busy junction and a pensioner plowed into the back of her  the car shes only had a few days a 09 plate corsa and is a write off  its really shook her up had tears most of the day  but she has now calmed down a bit and gone to bed

only problem was i didnt tell her  when i got home with it my mrs and daugher anounced whilst out shopping they popped into vauxhall and bought a 2 year old corsa  maybe in future i should tell them my plans ;D

General Discussion Area / back from a fantastic week in

somerset  stayed with family in a great little village 5 miles from weston super mare  absolutely knackered as we did all the sites  chedder gorge  sand sculptures in weston wookey hole and loads more  thatchers brewery got a few visits ;D

we took my recently aqquired cheapy cabriolet which performed fantastic seeing we did 600 plus miles heres a couple of pics need to sort the rest out :y
