As a complete newbie to what most of you call a "proper" engine . On the breaker I need to change the dispack (3.0) to cure this multiple misfire. EP is posting me a known good replacement. My question: I`ve removed the scuttle, I can just about see the HBV. Can`t see the DIS. Is it as per the guide in maintenance or would removing other stuff make it easier

No codes. Symptons.......starts & idles really lumpy & stinks of unburnt petrol. Will rev OK (still lumpy).....engage drive and try to move off......no chance, tries to move but loses all power. Thinking dispack :-/

Right, trying to get Paul (P6UL K) sorted with his leccy windows. Have released the multi-plug on the driver`s door (pita). Unclipped/unplugged all the loom inside door, how do you remove the connector at the edge of the door. TIA

If they look OK is it imperative that they`re changed :question

Omega General Help / Heater problems

What is it with these bloody heaters.  Up until yesterday heater was so hot you couldn`t have it on max. HBV gave out today. Changed HBV and flushed matrix while I was in there. All water ran out nice and clear with forward and reverse flush. All pipes on correct to HBV. No heat. Burped the system, no change. Removed vac pipe off HBV, no change. Anything else :-/ :-/

Call me daft if you want to . Checking a few things before A/C chap visits 2 weeks time. Pretty sure there`s gas in there but the system may have a leak :-/. Checked fuses and swapped out relay. Unclipped connector on compressor, how the hell do you get 12v direct to it to see if the clutch is kicking in without a spare female connector to bodge :-/ :-/

How do you check whether the clutch is engaging on the AC compressor and is there a relay anywhere that controls it. TIA

Had system regassed and leak check, within days stopped blowing cold. Had gas checked, still full. Emptied gas and recharged. Worked for a few days then reverted to blowing lukewarm. Am I looking at a new compressor or are there other things I can check. TIA

Best way to check compressor. Am I right in thinking, turn ECO mode on then switch it off and see if it kicks in :-/
