General Discussion Area / Dodgy Volkswagen
« on: 08 August 2008, 23:27:29 »
Hello again everyone.  My daughter's Volkswagen Polo has started to misfire.  I had the back box replaced because it was blowing.  That didn't stop the misfire but I noticed the middle section of the exhaust is also blowing.

Do you think the exhaust problem could cause a misfire?

Thanks for any advice!

General Discussion Area / Mig v Sonata
« on: 15 April 2008, 23:18:56 »
My girlfiend just bought me a Hyundai Sonata as my mig has been very ill with suspected head gasket failure.

The coolant leak on the mig was fixed with k-seal and is now running fine.

Do you think I should keep the mig or sonata?

I would obviously try and get another mig eventually! :y

General Discussion Area / Nuns in a mig!
« on: 14 April 2008, 00:16:34 »
One night a couple who lived on the top floor of a high rise were arguing.  The fella had been 'having relationships' with many many women.

In a rage at 2pm the wife went to the kitchen, took out a knife, cut off the man's penis and threw it out of the window.

Meanwhile two nuns in a mig who got really lost were travelling along when something hit the window.

One nun said to the other:

'have you seen the size of the willy on that fly!' ;D ;D ;D

General Discussion Area / K-Seal.
« on: 12 April 2008, 17:34:46 »
I decided to put k-seal in my mig to try and fix the suspected head gasket leak.

So far it's working and the leak has stopped.

I thought that I might as well give it a try as the mig was just standing there.  At least this way I'll be able to use it.

How long do you think it will last? :-*

General Discussion Area / Should I try K-seal or not?
« on: 10 April 2008, 23:18:19 »
As you may have read in other threads my mig has a coolant leak and it is suspected that the head gasket has failed.

My question is:

Should I try using K-seal or not?

General Discussion Area / DNA test!
« on: 04 March 2008, 18:18:35 »
Hi everyone.  I was watching Divorce Court this morning and this guy had a DNA test done to see if he was the father of his kid.

The result was that there was 99.9999% chance he was the father.

If this is the case does this mean that due to the high number of tests done in the world that some MUST be wrong as the results are not 100%?

What do you think?

General Discussion Area / Overtaken by a van!
« on: 01 March 2008, 17:43:17 »
Hi. When I bought my latest mig about a month ago I thought it would be quite quick with it being a 2.5 V6.  However, last Monday I was overtaken by a van while accelerating after a roundabout on the way to York.

Is this normal? Does it happen to everyone?  Is there anything I could do to improve performance?  Does anyone know what the 0-60 figure is for an estate?

Bruccie said something about the multiram not working but I don't even know what that is! ;D

Any comments would be greatly appreciated! :y

General Discussion Area / Thanks Bruce and Barry!
« on: 24 February 2008, 13:50:18 »
Hi. I'd like to say thanks to Bruce and Barry and everyone else who helped to fix my car. :y

It took absolutely ages (over five hours) because the thermostat housing was stuck and when everything got put back together the water leaked out.

It was a real pain of a job but Bruce kept smiling all the time even though he was absolutely fed up with it.

The guys spent over five hours on my car when they could have been sorting out their own.

Thanks very much for a job well done! :y

The heater works great now and I drove the 220 miles home at normal operating temp and no problems at all. :y

Three garages couldn't fix it but Bruce and Barry did.

Thanks ever so much! :y

General Discussion Area / Garage in the North-East needed!
« on: 11 February 2008, 13:43:14 »
Does anyone know and can recommend a good garage in the north east?  I have taken my car to 3 garages to get the thermostat fixed and none of them did it.

I'm starting to think my miggy must be more complicated than a space shuttle!

Thanks.

Kate
