Omega General Help / Best way clean nearside brake pipe

Just have the car MOT ....it passed fine :) :) :).

Just had a advisory about the nearside front to back brake pipe being slightly corroded. Is this on the drivers side and also any best way to clean it up is it just wire brush job. Thanks

Omega General Help / Creaking indicator sound

Odd one and I hope that I explain it right and make sense.
 When I move my lndcater arm up to take a right it has a creak before you hear the tick tick sound. It sounds to be as almost a dry metal to metal contact. Not a big deal but any tips where to look would be helpful on where to look for causes.  :y :y

Need to get a tool to help remove mine would any one know the size of the case of the oill filtter and if a 80mm  tool like this would do the job .

Omega General Help / smelly water from water jet wash

Just been using them today and the water coming out is very smelly.Thinking that i will have to clean the fillter but can not recall where to look for it on the face lift. .

just started a few hours ago ....goes off for no reson when i go to the car, the interior light is on and when the key to turned to postion 1, there a buzzing sound.

Any tips on where to look at .

Having a nightmare getting it off the whole case is spining round . What is the best tool to help hold the main body still as i take off the cap.Have used the metal removal wrench....no joy.

Any tips for better  tool and where to get it from.

Omega General Help / Dirver side mirror fitting now fitted

Just to check, as getting a replacement for mine.

Is it just a case of removing the cover of the inside of the mirror casing and taking out the 3 screws. I,m replacing like for like which is a facelift elite.

Just to check if pre facelift seats from an MV6 would fit in a facelift, and if  the back seats have the plug to conect to the rear seat heating on the Elite.

Just to check , when checking the levels with car runing does it make any differace if the car is in netral or does it need to be in a drive gear.... Foot on Brake ;).

Omega General Help / Would this size fit

Looking at some alloys for the car have 235-45-17 now. See some on e-bay look good the PCD is 5 110
with an offset of ET35 and Width of 70 think they have 225 25 17 on now. Would thses fit ok and be ok to put my 235 on them.

Omega General Help / knock when turning right at speed Update

Had the new springs and shocks fitted and all tracked and cambered up nice for now. But just getting a knock when turnning right  at speed say going round a roundabout. Seems fine on left turns. The knock does seem speed related  any tips as here to look.
 
Car feels a LOT better with them now ...almost like a go cart... that,s 2 tons ;D ;D
