Omega General Help / FaceLift Irmscher Front Bumper Fog lights
« on: 16 February 2013, 10:57:57 »
Can anyone tell me if the facelift Irmscher Fog-lights were ever made  to fit other cars? Were they a standard light made by the light manufacturer?

I know that the pre-facelift Irmscher Fog-lights were made by Heller and fitted the Mondeo ST220 as well.  The Facelift ones are much bigger and I've not seen who makes them.

Does anyone know if there is a non-OE light that would work as a replacement? (same size and dimensions etc)

Can anyone tell me if there is any info on this, please?

Omega General Help / Max ET for the Omega
« on: 28 January 2013, 19:49:24 »
Just been looking at Alloys.....

Seen some multispokes that I like with an Et of 40. (5 x 110 and correct centre bore)
Given that My F/L MV6 wheels and the 16" Irmschers both have an Et of 39, is an extra millimetre going to make any difference on an Omega?

Car Parts, bits For Sale & Wanted / On the lookout for alloys......
« on: 19 November 2012, 19:06:01 »
Hi folks,
I'm after a set of 17" Irmscher Spectra sports line alloys. (very similar to the spectra but with 'rivets' on the edge of the rim).

Nothing doing on ebay.de or Irmscher classics.de at mo so thought I'd cast the net wider.

Don't think they were that popular, so if anyone knows of any or come across any can they let me know?

Cheers all,

Matthew :y

Omega General Help / Seat belt Pre-tensioner
« on: 20 September 2012, 11:39:17 »
Hi,
to replace said item, does it mean seat out and removal from the bottom rail (given that it's on the side next to transmission tunnel)?  ???

Can it be done without taking seat out?

Anyone done it?

Advisory from MOT (more out of helpfulness than warning for future fail AFAIK).

The orange ticket is now protruding.
Is this fixable with a straight swap with an intact one?

Anyone know of a towing eye cover for F/L rear bumper (see post from last month)?

Evening everyone,

My towing eye cover came off on my trip to the NE this morning.
I need a metallic black one, if any one has one.

Car Parts, bits For Sale & Wanted / Wanted: interior fixings
« on: 29 July 2012, 17:18:56 »
Hi,
The soft foam backed lining that sits above my feet (below the sterring wheel) has lost all/some of its fixings.
This keeps dropping down and getting in way of my using the pedals

Does any one have these attachments so I can keep it in place, please?

General Car Chat / Big Thanks to Chris
« on: 27 June 2012, 18:19:57 »
Just got back from my trip to Reading and service for the Mig with Mr Gixer.

Proper good day it was too! :)

Learn't a lot about what goes where and what it does. I also remembered to look in the service book - saved ourselves lots of time by seeing that the brake fluid was done! :-[

Thanks Chris, top geezer! :y

Omega General Help / Replacement Track Rod arms Front and Rear
« on: 06 April 2012, 19:28:08 »
Last weekend had my steering geometry/steering/alignment done at a place near me recommended on the WIM website.
As I was putting the refurbed MV6 17's back on and the Winters off I thought I'd get it done.

All 4 of the track rods (2x front 2x rear) were seized. Out came blow torches and other interesting paraphernalia but to no avail - nothing would move.
As it happened and luckily only one wheel was out 'a fraction' - everything else within the recommended range front and rear

So, I need to find 4 adjustable track rods.
Is it a false economy to fit second hand or should I fit new?

Advice is sought, here , please.
Let me know what you reckon.

Ta and Happy Easter

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Pre F/L Climate bulbs
« on: 21 February 2012, 12:27:21 »
The C/C illumination has been very dim for a while.
Suddenly last night they all came back to full brightness (only 1 at a time mind).
Is this bulb replacement time or do I need to get the whole panel out and have a gander? ???

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / DAB reception starting to cut out
« on: 21 January 2012, 19:47:51 »
Been happening for a couple of days......

Suddenly stops receiving and then comes back again. Just locally, not traveling far
I use a JVC H/U and DAB aerial.

Anything I should worry about?

Curiously,
