Omega General Help / Crecking when steering and odd knocking sound

Not sure where to start to look . Getting a crecking sound when steering at low speeds. Also a knock from the front but not the kind you would get over speed bumps just at odd times. :-? :-?

Any tips on where to start looking

Omega General Help / 85 amp Battery

Need to look at new battery old one has been on 4 years now. In the book it say the 3.2,s should have an 85amp one .Are they any bigger in size that the 70amp ones ,as with the one i have now there is no room in the tray for anything bigger.

Omega General Help / Low fuel

Just set out to top up on fuel . Car was very very low on it. Started just fine but for the 1st time had a puff of smoke on the start up. Was not just the steam that i see all the time. I think with the low fuel could it jus be some rubbish has got into the fuel system. what do you lot think.

Withl the kick down in normal mode, do you need to take your fool of the pedel and then press fully for it to work. Or can you just depress fully from any point.

Omega General Help / HID Leveling on GID

On start up i get the highlight leveling warning coming up for the 1st 2 seconds then goes away. if the car is driven some time and then resarted no warning.

Where would the best place to start looking .Have checked the 2 leveing sensors unpluged and repluged.

This is not on mine have a mate that has the omega but has just got a min facelift 2.5 tells me that the speedo and rev counter not working but the odmeter is. Any pointers that i can pass on to him as to what it could be

I believe that the TC system works by cutting the power to 1/2 of the cyinders . But does this depend on the lack of grip, ie little slip cuts one cyinders, lots of slip cuts 2 cyinders or is more of a all or nothing system.

Omega General Help / New pollen filter

Picking up a new one just to check and make sure , old one feel,s fine and dry but is fuffy on one side ....would that mean it had it. Found about a cup full of water in the scuttel drain which was cleaned and has been good since. Also on my old one there is a arrow for air flow.

Should the arrow point to the inside of the car or the outside.

Omega General Help / best setting to demist side windows

With the temp well below -2 all day it means that the ac compresser shuts down. I have cheked the pollen fillter and that they is no water around that area all fine new fillter last year . But with so may setting on the CC was wondering what setting other members use to demist when the temp is this low.
and the ac compreser has turned off.

Omega General Help / screen display in German

This is an very odd one had every thing working fine when swiched off the car and went into the shop, Came back out put the radio on and the display came up in german checked all the setting and seem right. The system is a 2013 with nav and a GID screen.

Any one know how to get it back to English...only been 20 min and its driving me mad

Omega General Help / HID Bulb

Have had a set in off the £30 one off e-bay and found that 1st thing when swiched on ,one or both would not come on

, turn off and on a few time and all is ok. Then fitted some OME ones and there fine every time. I know that Jimbo has a set in his car and they work fine.

Has anyone eles had probs with the e-bay ones

Need to get a new set of wishbones . Not a lot to spend on the this time of the year . Looking to have some polys put in my old ones at some point.

But for the time would these ones be any good and has anyone used these guys
