I get the numbers being engine size, but what do the letters indicate?

Firstly must thank Mark DTM for posting the pressure page from the manual, as my book only shows 2.2-2.6-3.2, and it's a 3.0, someone ordered the wrong manual as a spare I think!

I spend 95% of the time alone in my car  , but with a very loaded boot. Should I use the loaded rear pressure (42) & the unloaded front press
ure (31.5) or the loaded all round (42r & 36f)?

3.0 F/L saloon, with 235/45 R17, & a fair bit of "spirited" motorway use  8-)

Omega General Help / Self-levelling suspension- or not...

Hi All

This self levelling thing appears to be temperamental according to "buying advice" i found on here, can someone explain this?

Mine has a lot of weight in the boot (should-really-buy-a-van lot), and had coped well for the first 9 months of ownership. Lately tho, I've been scraping the exhaust  . Unloaded the boot completely last week, and tried turning on & off, leaving a while then again etc, but made no difference, still looks like a chavs lowering effort

Thoughts pls guys?  :-/

Ok, thinking uf upgrading mine, mainly because i'm bored....


Anyone tell me tax disc cost on a post march 01 3.0, or 3.2 saloon? I know it's emmissions based, and my 3.0 is still £185 due to being 2 months older (why I bought it!)

Also wondering about MPG on the 3.2, vs the 3.0?

Or maybe the rough performance of a 2.5TD?

Elite spec & auto btw, I know the aircon & other weight will affect the above, but may consider MV6 if the trim level is right

A lot of questions I know, but it'll be my 4th one, for keeping this time...

Omega General Help / Interior panel scratches off

My black mig has the creamy/beige interior, and the plastic door panels, especially the pocket doors, seem to be covered in a coating so the're not shiney. This seems to be really easy to scrape off, leaving me with a lot of scratches to these panels. It also seems to be the same type of coating present (in black) on the NCDC2013 & surrounding areas & switches.

Is this normal?

I'm thinking the only way to reapir this is to polish off the whole coating, but this will take hours & be very fiddly.
Not really bothered about it leaving me with shiney panels, but what a pain in the arris!

Will an Irmscher spoiler from the pre-facelift (98) fit the mini-facelift (01) boot lid?
Didn't think anything changed on the boot apart from the handle & (lack of) lock?

Omega General Help / Speedo/ABS/Cruise Issues

Hi

My speedo doesn't work, nor does the ABS or Cruise. Had the sensors on the wheels replaced, no luck.

Word has it that it's the ABS control ECU, however it's the Bosch one, and very expensive new/ rare 2nd hand. Can anyone confirm or deny this is what I need before I spend a fortune or hours on the 'net looking?

Name's Adrian, or Lampy to my friends. On my 3rd Omega now, started with an M reg 2.0 manual, bought purely for the huge boot! After a disastrous 9 months with a P38 range Rover (quite simply the most unreliable thing I've ever owned- not just cars!) went to a P reg 3.0 elite (exploded heater matrix, now in Russia via Ebay ), and now a facelift '01 3.0 V6 Elite in black with all leather & the Bose upgrade.
And I love it!
Hope to make some new friends here, get some advice, and offer any if I can, although that isn't as likely as the first 2 reasons

Need the sensor c/w bracket & bolts for the headlight level adjustment. Goes on the arm for the N/S wheel.
Think whoever changed my wishbone left it on the old one

Ok, first use of spare wheel today, and it don't fit 

Not the right wheel for the car, & rubs on the brake caliper..... so I have a perfectly good 15" tire on a a useless wheel 

Anyone got the right one for sale? Assume it's a 15" space saver steel, as it fits in the hole quite well, and my alloys are 17's....

Grrrrrrrr!!!

Unless I'm totally wrong (nothing new there) if so, info and item for sale would be good!

Hi All

Need a nearside electric heated mirror for an 01 (X) mini FL 3.0 Elite saloon.
Complete rear housing, front plastic surround &, I suspect, the metal innards c/w motor/loom etc

Glass would also be handy, but not essential as that's the cheap bit!

Prefer black, but if not black, no problem.

Need either the ABS ECU or the whole pump unit for my Jan '01 (X) 3.0L V6 Elite Saloon

Have been told that the "whole pump" comes with the ECU attached, hence the £900 difference!
