General Discussion Area / OOF CLUB
« on: 27 May 2007, 11:27:11 »
Not the first time the question has been asked why OOF do not become a club, as I asked the same question myself some time ago now, and so have several other folk. therefore, would it not be useful to post in General Chat under important topics? The reasons why the Admins etc., do not see a club being beneficial, reason etc.. May avoid further queries on the same subject.   ::)

« on: 29 May 2007, 18:55:33 »
Just got a thing through the door today advertising car rental but not really as such  www.streetcar.co.uk , rent a car in your area mainly VW golfs for 1 hour at £4.95 35 and 49 for a day eg 24 hrs, and there just round the corner. Not that I would anyway take one, but its all done online, is this in your area, ever heard of it?

Trying to book my car tax online and by phone, they could'nt obtain my MOT details, was certain I had it done in December :-/, went round to the MOT see if I could get a duplicate, turns out I never got it done, so I have been driving around for the past 6 months without an MOT :-[, Luckily enough I have'nt been in any accidents. Needless to say I had the MOT done yesterday, and have now renewed my tax ALL LEGAL AT LAST :y

The House in Thailand is finished bar a couple of minor exterior bits on the outside e.g., the wall and some decs which should be finished by the end of this week. Managed to spend a week in the House whilst out there for the month as typical b******t builders the world round never on time.

Some of the ex-pats living out there

more pics of ex-pats at the house warming

The hire barge, was quite impressed with it 2.5 diesel, got stopped 3 times by the cops and accused of speeding ;D ;D

General Discussion Area / Make your own road?
« on: 22 May 2007, 22:22:18 »
Thai style the excavator had to go through a small jungle track road to excavate earth from my brother in laws field to fill in a couple of bits on my land, the transporter could'nt get any further down the track as it narrowed to a footpath basically, so they off loaded the excavator and cleared a path e.g, knocking down trees and all to get to the field...job done :y
