Omega General Help / Horn Stopped Working

Fuse seems to be fine, connections to the horn seem firm but horn seems to have stopped working for past month or so...anything I can check??

Omega General Help / Slight Water In Exhaust

Ok there seems to be more than normal water in exhaust...not worrying amount but enough to be wearing the exhaust through, although it may have just been on its way out anyway and the waters leaking through the holes...just not noticed this kinda thing on my previous Omegas but then they all had genuine Cats...
There is a drip coming through the centre exhaust box...and a burbling hole in the back box pipe...
Question is, there is a cheapo cat on the drivers side (gen pass side)which is rather noisy and seems to leak exhaust gases thats going to be replaced shortly...exhaust will be swapped over for a goodun at the same time...is it possible the failing cheapo cat is causing water to be drawn through the exhaust...or just condensation?? I will have to check if its still obvious when up to temp as been taking a lot of very short journeys recently and so mostly been checking when engines pretty cold I guess

There is a very useful how to on how to clean the scuttle drain by Marie...however...how do you clean the leaves out if you dont have arms as skinny as Maries??

Omega General Help / Coolant Leak...Not Your Usual!

Ok so there is coolant leaking onto the road from my estate...I can (and I know this is fairly unusual lol) see the leak...I just dont know what it is...inside the engine bay, passengers side behind and underneath the brake pump/pipes there is a pipe coming through the bulkhead presumably from the cabin...anyone know what this pipe is as its leaking just inside the engine bay, even when cold...
Its not a major leak, had to top up coolant just once in 2-3 months but may be getting worse perhaps...

Ok the facelift (2.5 CDX) I just got is coming up with code 91...O2 Sensor is the Lambda sensor right?? So potentially what does this code mean exactly...car is struggling to start and engine sounds like a bag of spanners despite having had cambelt kit done 19k ago and just having been serviced...before I condemn the car to history lets see if it can be sorted as its a nice car and I know the engines a known goodun as it came from my old estate and ran beautifully in there

Omega General Help / Sintra/Omega Similarities

Anyone have any knowledge of Sintras?? Getting one today as needing a 7 seater and its cheap...has an Omega 3.0 engine in although its FWD and transverse engine...
Any other similarities with the Omega anyone know other than the engine??
Also how easy is it to change the wheel hubs?? Are they welded onto the struts or removable?? Any chance I would be able to put Omega hubs onto the Sintra so I could put Omega wheels on it as with an offset of 115 on the Sintra it will be awkward to find replacements for the 15" alloys that come on it...

Just taking the backplate off the ex plod facelift diff...
Is it just a matter of taking off the 7 bolts holding it in place and off it comes?? Or the 2 sensors too?? Or is there more to it?

Omega General Help / 3.0 v6 Restarting After Fuel Run Out

Any ideas on this...
Car starts first time every time normally...
run out of fuel a few times recently as the guage isnt very accurate and it rarely has more than a fiver put in it...
But after running out of fuel its failing to start once a can of fuel is put in it...tries to splutter into life a little but mostly just turning over without firing at all...
Any thoughts on what I might be causing the really bad starting after fuel starvation...fuels defo getting to the rail as fiddled wiht the air release valve to make sure this time...but generally needs towing and jump starting to get it to go again...after its started its right back to first time every time starting...
Could it be tired pump, or slightly on its way out crank shaft sensor??
EML light has been on since I got the car because of a code 61 if that might in any way effect the answer...

Ok so I have a facelift MV6 here...ex cop but still should have upgraded shocks and springs?? So how easy is it to remove them and whats the easiest way? Remove the entire strut??
Also is it upgraded front and back or just on the back?
