I am one of the many saddo's dedicated gamers who will be queuing outside the local Gamestation tomrw night at Midnight for the launch of the new Call Of Duty game.....

Anyone else doing the same........??

And why has there been a review "embargo" on the game until it is released.....Are they trying the hide the fact that it may be not as good as COD4 Modern Warfare....

Counting the seconds until i get me grubby litlle hands on it.......!!!!

« on: 02 October 2009, 22:54:17 »
Hi all,

Got a drive tomorrow of over 600 miles.......!!!!

Leaving Nottingham at 7am then driving to collect my lad from Caernarfon, North Wales.....

Then taking him to see the lights of Blackpool Illuminations.....

Then taking him back to Caernarfon....

Then driving back home to Nottingham.....

Reckoning on getting home about 2am Sunday morning!!!

I think it will be about £110 in petrol, and hopefully the MV6 will be as strong driving all day tomrw as its been in the year we have had it.......!!!

Hi all

I am planning on taking one of my sons (12 yrs old) up to see the Illuminations at Blackpool this weekend and am looking to stay somewhere cost effective for the Saturday night......

Does anyone recommend any of the thousands of B&Bs up there, or can anyone recommend me a campsite instead cos little one has expressed his excitement at the thought of camping for the night.......!!!

Any help gratefully received thanks

General Discussion Area / Apology to MickAP
« on: 20 September 2009, 21:19:42 »
Just really wanted to apologise to MickAP for letting him down today regarding the possible sale of our MV6.....

Following a recent thread that I was thinking of selling our MV6 as a company car is coming, I had a pm expressing interest from Mick.....

Have been exchanging emails regarding a potential viewing of the car by him this weekend, but at the last minute I have decided against selling the car.

The main reason for that decision was that, after looking at what Migs are worth on Ebay and Autotrader, I honestly felt the car is worth more to us than the cash it represents......

If I got £1700 for her, I wouldnt be able to replace it for anything of interest for the same money.....

So we have decided to keep the MV6 and run it alongside the new car, in particular the MV6 will be used for our monthly runs to North Wales

So I wanted to sincerely apologise to Mick and to thank him for his interest.

Cheers

Martyn

General Discussion Area / McCann spotted.............
« on: 09 September 2009, 20:54:09 »
Weirdist thing ever happened to us this afternoon.....

Got done out of work early and arranged to meet the wife and our 3 yr old lad at KFC in Long Eaton.....

So there we are, tucking into our 8 piece family feast when we notice a "Find Madeline" sticker on the side of a car as it came into the drive-thru part of the restaurant......

As it past the window where we were sitting.......break me if it weren't that Kate McCann in the passenger seat and a female friend driving.....

Good job she didnt come into the restaurant, I would have told her EXACTLY what I think of her parenting skills.....or lack of......

Very random I know, but very true.....wonder why she was is Long Eaton......???

She has also promised me she would wash and vacuum out the MV6, but we will see.......!!!

May go for a walk up Dovedale or somewhere like that if the weather is good....

Baba will be at nursery from 8.30 til 12.30 plus we have gardeners coming to take back some of the trees and hedge in the back garden.

Then a chinese for tea followed by one of my treasured Romeo Y Julieta Churchill cigars and plenty of Polish Zywiec beer....

General Discussion Area / BNP on the up....................
« on: 05 June 2009, 22:11:49 »
From Yahoo........

"The BNP has won its first county council seat in Lancashire in Burnley

Elsewhere, Peter Davies of the English Democrats celebrated victory in Doncaster's mayoral election and Labour lost its four remaining county councils to the Tories.

Overall, Labour appeared to be heading for total losses of around 300 seats while the Conservatives picked up more than 200.

Nottinghamshire was the last to fall as the Conservatives took control gaining nine seats while Labour - which had held the council since 1981 - lost 22. Derbyshire fell after 28 years of rule, while Labour was also beaten by the Conservatives in Lancashire and Staffordshire.

Labour also failed to gain a single councillor in newly-formed Central Bedfordshire, where the Tories took 54 of the 66 seats up for grabs.

And the party lost eight seats in Bristol as the Liberal Democrats took overall control of the city.

Burnley in Lancashire, scarred by race riots in 2001, already has four BNP members who sit on the local borough council.

The BNP's Sharon Wilkinson defeated Labour's Marcus Johnstone in the Padiham and Burnley West ward to strengthen the party's hopes of getting leader Nick Griffin elected as Euro MEP for the North West.

He needs around 8% of the Euro votes across the region to be elected to Strasbourg.

Mr Griffin admitted he might be squeezed by a big Ukip vote but, if that happened, he said: "At least we helped to put a Euro-realist party in Brussels who will do a far better job of looking after British interests than the Tories, Labour and the Liberal Democrats."

Looks like Labour and Browns thieves are in deep trouble........

Conservatives gaining support now too.......

General Discussion Area / Back home...........
« on: 17 May 2009, 08:20:18 »
We have just got home after a week in Normandy.

Have I missed anything?

Has Mark had another bump?

As for the holiday, well......

Normandy was beautiful, spent alot of time visiting D Day places including the American Cemetary, Omaha Beach, Arromanches, Juno Beach, etc etc

French supermarkets were very impressive too. Plenty more choice than you get here and we tried so many cheeses.......!!

Keycamp were brilliant, fabulous holiday park, very quiet site, no noise at all at night, great staff, great pool complex with waterslides etc

Omega ran like a train, fully loaded both ways and averaged 31.5mpg for the 1100 miles we did in total. That includes plenty of driving through quaint French villages and some long motorway runs too. Really happy with her, she didnt miss a beat........!!!

We all had a very very good holiday and are just so bleeding fed up to be back........!!!!

 :)
