General Discussion Area / Thanks dad!
« on: 12 December 2013, 15:35:23 »
My dad has been to see me today.

He asked me ages ago what I wanted for Christmas. I said I could do with some new car cleaning stuff....anyway he has rocked up with this kit.

It's as big as my tv and the variation of waxes and products is fantastic. Almost don't want to open them.

Will certainly be saving this for a sunny weekend.  8)

Looking at some upgraded whiter lights.

General Car Chat / Coil pack 2 4 6
« on: 03 December 2013, 14:00:29 »
Had a look in the maintainence guides but was wondering if there is a guide to changing the passenger side coil pack.

Does the pipe going in to the side of the plenum need to be removed as it looks a bit tight.

General Discussion Area / It's Christmas time.
« on: 02 December 2013, 20:19:39 »
Decided to make a bit of an effort this year and put the Christmas tree up earlier than usual. Satisfied with the result. Took me a while to get the right angle but I think it's safe to say that the hard work and determination had paid off.  Merry Christmas!! :y

If the Eml detects a misfire on one of the cylinders will it shut down that injector to prevent any damage to the cats?

General Car Chat / Terraclean?
« on: 25 November 2013, 17:17:46 »
I've never been a fan of engine additives for claimed miracle cures.  After watching an episode of wheeler dealers I saw the terraclean discarbonising treatment advert with Ed China.

I've read through their website and wondered what other members make of it?

I'm in 2 minds if it will actually be a benefit or if it's just another glossy advert for something that isn't necessary.

General Discussion Area / Ppi reclaim
« on: 20 November 2013, 12:53:21 »
I had a letter from the bank regarding ppi on a loan I had in 2004 Letter basically inclosed a form if I felt it had been mis sold to me. Loan was only £1000 but I always recall it being added when I came to sign the documents. Being only 19 at the time and requiring the money I signed it.

Well I filled out the form and stated it was neither offered or explained to me at the point of sale. I actually received the letter months ago but thought due to the low amount of the loan that it wouldn't be worth it.

Well I have just had a letter confirming a £268 refund!

And yes it will no doubt be paying to tax the mig and the left over will be there for mot time in January.

Happy days.  :)

Well it's only a small covering but a pleasant enough view from my bedroom window.
