In need of a drivers side cam cover for a 2.5 and the engine lifting eye if anyone can help out with these?... Cheers....

Is it possible to change the valve seals in an astra ( v reg) in a 1.6 16v petrol without taking cylinder head off??

Ok people... i have posted a thread on here before about the heavy oil usage on my 2.2....
Only had car for around 8 weeks ish and the oil was as black as oil could get and was between min and max on dipstick so not been changed for a long while...
I flushed engine out put in new GM oil and filter and the next day the oil was equally as black again so engine needed another quick change which i intended to do within the next 1k however the CHECK OIL LEVEL indicator came up within 500 miles.. the level on dipstick was at the minimum.... No oil leaks anywhere on engine, no smoke from exhaust on start up or while driving and im still topping up every few hundred miles or so now even after second oil change.... so whats happening ? where is it going?... it had 108k on the clock now...

Ok then.... just ordered a set of track rods inner and outer for both sides from Vauxhall world LTD ... they say they are made by Bilstein ( the shock absorber people) and are made for vauxhalls too... the price is £64.38 delivered.... this is half the price of what All german parts wanted..... anyone else used this company and there parts?

Big thanks to these two fine chaps for getting the front of my car looking straight again after a little prang.. you'd never know now.. also for various internal bits n bobs done to including cruise control.... Happy days..

Omega General Help / 2.2 engine... wheres my oil??

Ok I have 2.2 with 107k on the clock... only had it about a month ish so dont know history... did oil and filter change about 500 miles ago and today had the : check oil level: warning on the display... on checking dip stick there was sod all on it.. No leaks to be seen on top or bottom... cam cover gasket is leaking but not to the extent of losing that much oil... dont have any water in oil ect... Any ideas people???

the unit in mine CCR2005.. works fine but i cant turn it off.. can lower the volume but cant switch unit off.... obviously im refering to when car is going and not on 24 hours per day

150k on the clock and owned from 84k... cam belt and water pump done at 144k by Elete pete.... so many new parts fitted with in last year it'd take too long to type. All reciepts kept to prove whats been spent... oil changed every 5k with GM oil.. looking for £ 600 for it.. Selling it as i'm after another miggy... i would put a piccy up but dont know how to do it...

I know of a company that can supply replacement rear archs for the miggy. £27 + vat each side... they are called AP auto panels in coedpoeth near wrexham on the 5 crosses ind est and may do mail order...if anyone is interested that is?
