Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Bulb or something else?

Have a warning " low beam/fld vision" popped up. All lights are working ok though.Assuming the check system measures resistance in the lighting circuits , does this mean a bulb is on its way out or is it something more expensive(probably!)Any ideas? :-?

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to retro fit an electric rear blind into a rear parcel shelf without one?
I can get a blind ,but its not in a shelf.
If so , what's involved. Mine has bose setup under the shelf by the way . Is this a problem - Thanks.

Omega General Help / Rain sensitive wipers

Does anyone know whether it's possible to retro fit the standard intermittent wipe set up instead of the rain sensitive type?Mine's rubbish. I've tried shouting at it, but it still wipes when it feels like it instead of when I can't see out of the windscreen.!

Is there a diagram of the climate control system anywhere on here? I've got no hot air on the drivers side and it would be good to see how it's all laid out before I start pulling it to bits.
Any thoughts  gratefully received.

Just recently my car has started making 4 chirping noises from under the bonnet when I get out.Doesn't do it all the time & everything works fine.Is it the power sounder batteries on their way out or something more sinister ?Any ideas?

Hi guys , bit  of a weird fault here.I've noticed that occasionally the rear vents will blow out hot air even when the climate temp is set to min or a low temperature.Also the passenger side centre front vent in the dash. Wondered whether there's a sticky valve somewhere?Car is a 2003 2.6 manual  :-?elite.

Hi Guys, Can anyone tell me if the sunroof switch is illuminated? Mine doesn't light up , but I can't remember if it ever did?I suppose the sun roof isn't something that gets used much after dark!

Hi guys , Can anyone tell me if the traction control uses the abs sensors? Both lights have started coming on intermittently and I suspect the abs light is a dirty or faulty sensor.Hoping its also the reason for the tc light. :-?

Hi guys, how much is a set of face lift MV6 alloys in good condition with nearly new tyres worth? I don't know whether to leave them on the car or sell them separately and put the original Mv6 alloys back on to sell it.( they're a bit buckled as usual). any ideas ?

Omega General Help / Idle problem

Any ideas why my 3.0 MV6 idles perfectly when the climate control is on auto ,but as soon as i switch it off ,the idle speed falls to about 3-400 revs and only just keeps running.I cleaned out the icv thoroughly but it made no difference so I replaced it. Still no difference.All thoughts gratefully accepted.

Has anyone had a problem with vibaration from the propshaft. I get a bit  when I get to 70 mph and I'm sure it would continue up to about 85 if I were to ever drive that  fast. ;)Wondered whether the rubbers  have gone soft or something.They look ok but  I can't think what else to try having balanced and changed the wheels. ( now have facelift mv6 aloys instead of the play doh old ones). Shocks are all ok too. Any thoughts anyone?

          I have a 98 mini facelift mv6 auto and have just bought a 96 2.5 v6 cd manual for spares . I'm toying with the idea of a  manual conversion to the mv6. Anyone done this before ? what are the  things to beware of if any? All advice greatfully received.

Omega General Help / 3.0 MV6 running rich

Hi chaps,
            My 98 3.0 mv6 is running ridiculously rich ,so much so that it wont idle properly. Plugs are really sooty as is exhaust. I've tried another o2 sensor, first in one downpipe which made no difference so I replaced the second 02 sensor with the one I took out first assuming it must be ok.I've also cleaned the maf sensor and changed the the water temperature sensor just in case. None of these has helped.So unless I've got 2 dodgy o2 sensors (seems unlikely) I'm a bit puzzzled what to do next. Any ideas chaps? All suggestions welcomed. :-/

Omega General Help / MV6 wishbones

Hi all,
         I'm going to change the wishbones on my 1998 MV6 (have judder when braking) discs also slightly buckled so they'll be done at the same time. Does anyone know if the MV6 wishbones are the same as standard? I'm just wondering whether they're different to allow for the reduced ride height.
