Omega General Help / another odd trait of owning a VX
« on: 24 April 2008, 12:00:32 »
When accelerating up to the redline some times the engine will judder/sounds like its holding back and this will cuase the brake warning light to flicker in time with the engine missing.

Just fitted a new GM cranksensor 10 days ago and has been fine since but today she feels wierd.

Am i to be worried?

Thanks
Jon

Omega General Help / my meega overhaul...
« on: 16 April 2008, 20:50:58 »
Right then chaps,

I love my meega and want to keep her going for as long as possible so i am going to give her some lurvin  ;D

My meega has a few knocks etc, soft handling and shite brakes lol

The plan is as follows:
Replace Front lower wishbones
Replace Front Anti Rollbar drop links and Rollbar bushes
Replace Rear Anti Rollbar bushes
Fit new performace shocks and springs all round (coilovers maybe)
Change front discs and pads for a mintex set
Replace Rear Pads for mintex items
Flush brake fluid with new dot5.1 stuff
Source and Fit a twin elite backbox

Engine work:
Replace Rocker cover gaskets
Clean breather system
Clean Plenums and Throttle Body
Replace Spark Plugs and Leads
Replace Exhuast Manifold Gaskets
Fit new Performance Chip (191 bhp) from germany
Sort out induction feeds (cold air)
Oil and filter change
Oil and filter on Autobox too

You reckon i'll be busy  :D

P.S where can i buy an LSD from?

Thanks
Jon

Omega General Help / Lower Divider help???
« on: 23 April 2008, 00:50:37 »
On the V6 vectras it was a common mod to change the 2.5 lower inlet divider to a 3.0 due to larger bores etc and this gave a little more power and torque,

Does this apply to omegas too?

Thanks

Omega General Help / Fitting 3.0 Cams?
« on: 16 April 2008, 22:40:24 »
What power and torque increases am i likely to see fitting the above to my 2.5?

Also is fitting just a case of carefully removing them and refitting while leaving the cambelt alone?
p.s i hate cambelts lol
