Omega General Help / False Alarms

Changed the front pads today. Replaced them with QH product. They came without pad-wear sensors. Old sensors fell (well they nearly did) out of the old pads and were secured up and away from rotating parts. 30 mins after setting the alarm off it goes!
The reason I suspect these open? circuits is that when I was recently working on the coolant bridge the car could not be locked with anything unplugged or the neighbours would start tutting loudly.
Do I need to terminate the brake sensor wires with anything? Capacitor, resistance or short?
Baffled
