Omega General Help / I want my V6 to be loud!!
« on: 12 September 2008, 11:47:38 »
Hello Guys and Gals.

As I am competing in a charity rally next spring i am looking at one or two bolt ons to amplify the sound of the 2.5l V6

What pitfalls may I encounter in terms of sensors and cats in the exhaust? I am not looking to spend loads on a brand new stainless system i am just looking to up the fun factor a bit for as cheap as poss.

Can anyone advise of the options that i have ie de catting etc?

Thankyou in anticipation

Andy :)

Hello Guys & Gals! :)

Just joined the forum as I am about to buy a v6 Elite to compete in the Scumball rally next spring.

The car is coming with 12 months test, history and great bodywork.

It will be our home for itro 5,000 miles over 5 days next year and I can’t wait.

You may see me over the next few months asking daft question while we get the car prepped and tip top so please be gentle!

I am especially keen to make the car sound like a beast and treat it to a few bolt ons possibly so advice appreciated!

Cheers all

Andy

Greetings lads and lasses!

I have recently bought a '98 2.5V6 Elite Saloon for £420.00 to use in the charity Scumball Rally.

I have spent hours on the forum looking at possible problems etc but I realise that there is nothing better than having a good chinwag with someone who knows the cars.

My question is would anyone be up for checking over the car and offering advice on prepping it for the rally next spring?

Also - if they have a V6 it may be helpfull to have a drive in it to see how they should feel etc.

i know it needs 2 rear shocks but should we replace the springs and wishbones/ bushes etc.

If anyone is willing to help and lives not too far from Crewe then please let me know!

Cheers,  :)
