my outside temp thing on the dash dont show a reading! any idears?

Omega General Help / heater woes

i was after some heat from the heater ( none , stone cold ) when i came across a vacume pipe off of what i assume is by pass valve put it back on result ice cold from heater vents ! took it off again result cold but not ice cold ! so took pipes off heater matrix flushed it with hose pipe back and foward result , wicked heater 
all good! put vacume pipe back on result cold again 
pipe back off heater good?
the vacume pipe in question goes through bulkhead where heater matrix pipes go, so can i assume heater by pass valve needs replacing? any help much appreciated , bob

Omega General Help / wont rev past 4000 rpm when warm?

hi all ,
got a bit ov a problem! car starts and idles fine , car runs right through rev range performs well , untill temp guage moves up to normal operating tenp then its fine up till about 4000 rpm and then missfires badly will not rev past 4000+/-2/300rpm its ok as 4000 in fifth is 85/90 mphbut i would like to sort it as its not right!
any help would be much appreciated ! bob.

well i sold it! £350 gone, to a little italian fella in london , and thank god ! got fed up with not being able to see at night and not being warm ever in the thing, and sticking petrol in the alcoholic s o a b !:)
replaced with a really horrible ugly FIAT - Marea 115 16v with a heater that works and aircon that works and a lekky sunroof that works and a really nice 1800 twin cam fiat lump thats done 64000 miles from new that likes to rev its nutts off ,
body good inside like new, all for you guessed it £350 oh and its got projectors that work ! jesus its a revolation to get in the thing and be able to see the road and not freeze me c-ck off!
but it is kin ugly, still thats it i spose now non miggy owner finding solice in a piece of italian sh-te that will pay for itself in 3 months of fuel saving ! i will remain a member if i am allowed ? if not ! oh well!

what about a raffle every week ! say 75 people want to play , you will be numbered 1/75 week 1 =1 but on week 1 that person will choose the number 1/75 and pm some one that is not playing the chosen number.
then at an agreed time we all try to post a number1/75 obviously starting at 1 so if 3 posts are 1 or 2 or3 ect the first poster gets that number, then once thats done and the winning number is devulged we all send that person a pound so every week some one wins 50 75 140 however many play

was in hospital tue for a lump to be removed from me guts ( all went well) so feel a bit uncomftable sitting naturally! belted me left middle finger about a month ago with a hammer ( dont ask) nearly lost me nail ! went to open the loft yesterday for wife ladder came down and cut half way through right middle finger tip down to the bone and halfway through nail ! so now im f-cked ! cant sit down properly, cant stand up cos stitches pull and cant wipe me ar-e properly ! oh yea and cant get padding over stitching wet :-/ :-/ great
