Omega General Help / Gear lever help needed

The small plastic guide, size of a penny, where the gear stick joins the gear box has disintegrated making it difficult, but not
impossible to select gears.This guide is accessible just by removing gear lever cover. Seems as if it has to be replaced from below which could be a lot of hassle or is there a simple way of doing a temporary fix.

Omega General Help / (slight)starting problem

When I leave my Omega diesel 3/4 days without using, starting always a problem.Been like this for ages.
Funnily though it fires eventually just when you think the battery is just about dead.Always give 2/3 goes on glow even in summer.
Is this a flattish battery, glow problem or something else?

Seem to be 2 possible filters for my 1994 2.5 BMW diesel engine Omega.Does anyone know which is the correct part no, before i get wrong one!
