Omega General Help / Heatshield death

Ive just been up to Yorkshire in the Omega and when i arrived, noticed the remains of a lovely rusty heat shield hanging from the car to the floor

.
Question is i need to use my car again and was wondering if it would be ok to do so??? Plus any ideas where i can get a good one from.
ETA: can anyone tell me is there 2 Heat shields either side of the car, as looking on a part finding place it looks like there is

Omega General Help / How is the dimming rear view mirror controlled?

Ive got my cdx but i was wondering if i fitted the dimming rear view mirror how would it be controlled?

As i looked in scrapyard and there was an elite in but no obvious way to control the mirror motor.

I know about wiring the dimming alone in but id like to have it working properly.

Is there any chance of the car being wired for it already.

Hi all, my name is Anita and I'm from Liverpool. I currently drive a Cavalier 2.0 16v which i have owned for 5 Years. I also run Cavalier Mk3 Owners Club. After owning the Cav for 5 years i've got a hankering for an Omega. (always loved the look of them). So thought i would come find out more about these lovely cars.

No idea what theyre called im afraid, plenum covers???
im after a set of the little black covers that go over the plenum chambers?? i only noticed these where all missing the other day (yes i know im fussy lol). None in scrappy at present, so if anyone has a spare set or any they have knocking about can you please get in touch

Its for a V6 engine (2.5 facelift)

Hi Guys, hope this is in the right place. Ive just sold my classic car and am now in the market for my dream car an Omega (yayy lol). I have a budget of £1,500 and was wondering what exactly i should be looking for, in terms of trim spec etc and year of car.
