I am transferring a driver's leather electric seat from a 2001 elite to a 2003 CD. I read 'The Boy's' very informative post on the subject and in a PM reply he clarified that to get power to the new seat I should use the large 2.5mm 12v to join all the 12v connections to control unit, and the large 2.5mm 0v for the 0v connections to control unit as these are permanent 12v/0v connections, always live. I have basically bridged the small red and small black onto the large red, soldered them together and taped them and then the small brown onto the larger brown, soldered and taped them. I took a photo of my handywork and wondered if you guys would cast your expert eye over it to check Ive done it right just in case I plug it in and it all goes up in smoke!

Cars for Sale & wanted / WANTED: EXCEPTIONAL LOW MILEAGE MV6
« on: 24 February 2012, 14:27:52 »
I'm looking for an exceptional MV6 please to replace my 2001 2.6 V6 Auto Elite which has just died after many happy miles on LPG. I intend to re-fit my LPG kit into the lucky new car! Specs preferred: low mileage (under 80k), exceptional bodywork, not distastefully pimped ( I prefer a standard model but skirts etc don't put me off) , not lowered, saloon / tourer, 2002 or younger, MOT'd.  I'm in N. Ireland but will travel to mainland for the right car. I'd appreciate any help any member can offer. Thank you. Gavin

Omega General Help / Loss of Power - Mechanic Baffled!!
« on: 28 July 2010, 00:49:11 »
Hi Folks! I'm a newbie to Omega Owners Forum, having just owned mine for 6 weeks or so. I'm turning to you guys 'cos my local mechanic can't sort the fault and needs inspiration. I read a similar topic regarding poor performance but the poster indicated that it was mainly when under load and the engine idled ok.
Anyway,  I'm running a 2001 2.6 V6 AUTO on LPG. It's a tidy car and seems well looked after with an almost FSH.
My problem:intermittently, usually at speeds of 60-75mph it loses power when I put my foot down ie, has difficulty increasing speed. It will maintain the same speed all day and eventually builds speed slowly. It doesn't conk out. If I stop and restart the car, the fault clears immediately and may or may not occur for some time. It feels like she drops down to only 5 cylinders. This happens on both LPG and Petrol. The car has been fully serviced, all filters changed. New Iridium plugs fitted for the LPG, HT leads checked, new timing belt and fan belt, new water pump. Some water from the LPG system had been condensing and collecting around one of the plugs causing corrosion;- this has been remedied. There is no fault code stored. When this fault happens, the car idles very bumpily but doesnt conk out. The fault occurred prior to having all this work done but still does it. Any ideas??? I'm near Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim . thanks in anticipation.
