Omega General Help / Climate control problem

Hi all,
Done a search couldn't really find anything. Recenty got ac sorted but the temperature on the climate really doesn't seem to do much. Hi and lo work but if you set a temp it continually blows cool air at high speed. I'm suspecting the control panel as I'm not sure I can hear or feel the little sampling fan running. Is there anything to clean or is it new panel time?

Apologies if this has been covered, did a search but no info. Need cambelt kit for the elite and prices seem to hover around the £100 mark, except buypartsbuy who sell them for about £70. Anyone have experience comments on their quality?

Omega General Help / Auto levelling hid fault

Failed mot on both aim high, which makes me think the sensor may be iffy- any way of testing it headlamps seem secure so don't think it's the adjuster fault?

Newbie Welcome Area / Elite owning newbie

Hi all, been floating around for a while since I was given an Omega Elite by a friend that had been standing 5 years (the car not the friend). Needs a bit of work but started on the button! May be some rat damage but hopefully just service stuff and a new screen should see me riding about in the luxobarge.

Hi all

Just thought I'd share these with you guys on here as I have recently become the proud owner of an Omega Elite- 1 of the cars I always wanted to own. Needs a bit of work as it's been stood for 5 years so a service and cambelt are a priority!! Won't happen tomorrow due to another project but all comments welcome!



Last taxed 2005!


May need to hoover out the engine bay












Only bit of rust I've found so far- top of the rear door





Stood all that time, slapped a battery on it and it fired straight up! Needs exhaust as well despite the great sound. Top it off everything works (except rear blind!)

General Car Chat / More than I bargained for!! Content warning

Posted in gallery as well, but thought I'd put it here as well. Started the cambelt today and found a little surprise 





One of the reasons the last owner took it off the road was because of suspected rat damage, at least I know that although it had a nibble the Omega had the last laugh  8-)

General Car Chat / MOT after 5 years standing

Oh well guys n gals here goes. After being stood for ages (see http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1295985347) my Omega finally goes for MOT today to determine its fate. Anyone care to guess how bad it'll be  .

I know the screen will fail and the exhaust as well (although I'm going to bodge that a little bit!) but have done NOTHING else to it. I have obviously checked safety stuff and had a wobble of various bits to make sure nothing will fall off on the way, and cleared the leaves out.

Test is at 11 results once I know. Don't think I've ever been this nervous about an MOT!!
