Typical - first day where I've needed air con, it ain't worked!!
I know the compressor doesn't kick in if the temp is below 5degC, but even in winter (when the temp is 5 or above) I knock the ECO off on the climate control panel for at least half my journey, just to keep everything nice n lubricated (ooh err...!
)
It was working fine this morning (rev's dipping slightly when ECO turned off), but on my way home from work, when I turned ECO off when I got in the car, I noticed the rev's didn't drop. Tried it another couple of times, but no joy.
The fans kick in as they should when the coolant temp gets to 90degC on the gauge.
When I got home, I lifted the bonnet and turned ECO off again. The compressor wasn't spinning, and the fans weren't kicking in. I had a similar issue in my last Mig, where the compressor wouldn't kick in, but the fans did - took it for a re-gas, and it worked fine. On my Mig before that one, neither the air con compressor nor the fans kicked in with ECO off - I traced that to a blown fuse 14, which I changed and then it worked fine.
Fuse 14 is fine (first thing I checked, given the fans weren't kicking in either).
Anybody got any ideas???
Cheers folks
