Omega General Help / What's missing? Or do I need to be worried?
« on: 28 March 2015, 09:29:53 »

Seen this when I was under the bonnet the other day. It looks like I'm missing a threaded screw valve of some kind.

The green liquid looks like it shouldn't be visible.

Any ideas?

Am I right in thinking that there's a difference between PFL and FL headlights? FK are advertising some nice-looking Depos, but they're advertised as 'Omega B 99-03', which contradicts that train of thought:

http://www.carparts-tuning.co.uk/Lighting-Tuning/Headlight/headlight-Opel-Omega-B-Yr-99-03-black.html

You are indeed. However, FK do lots for both; Chrome, Black and standard, plus 'angel eyes' if you like that sort of thing

they advertise as 93-99 and 2000 - 2004 IIRC......

I'm not sure if this info is of any use to you when deciding which rubber to purchase, but I've just wrapped my ET30 18-inch staggered Sport Stars in Falken Azenis FK453s with Irmscher's recommended 235/40/18 (front) and 265/35/18 (rear) tyre profiles.

 :y

The stagger is what (front & rear)? 8J & 9J? or are the rears wider?
Falkens on the back wheels don't worry me, but on the front......
Still, the 453 is the newer tyre. My experience of 452's is not one I want to repeat...

Just fit small, clam shell silencer boxes, or bomb silencers.

The 'cherry bombs' from the United States?

Advert is quoted as 1994 - 1999 (PF/MFL), Kit is actually for FL post 2000.  ;)

Yes, rather obvious to us Omega people - how often do you see stuff on ebay that is so inaccurate?

That's one of the things he changed when he added the backbox/Exhausts - I think he realised his mistake as he now says  - 'removed from a 2001'

Bidding has now started.

Will be interesting to see how much it goes for......
