Omega General Help / Re: Housing of IACV and throttle body

If you've goosed the std threads (M6?) then not sure if there's enough meat for an M8 (drill 6.4mm).  If they were M8, then next (M10) is 8.4mm drill from memory..  Would suggest cleaning the holes out with a drill, fill them up with JB Weld and re-drill and tap back to the right size, though..

 :( :( Was hoping just to re-tap  :( :(
May be able to weld (if my uncle or father in law) will agree. May have to re -asses the situation then.  >:(

Any advice before I got in with the black and decker?

What size re-bore? and any advice very welcome. Not used such bits before.

I think mike had his regassed and checked for any leaks. You say yours is kaput, do you mean it doesn't work at all or it doesn't blow out cold air?

Paul  :y

Nothing. seems warmer than 18 if anything! Took to be checked and re-gassed when I got it (kwik fit) they said it needs some attention. Just have not put it high on the list of priorities as wanting to sort the two migs mechanically and asthetically first.  :y :y

New for France - been told French Police are stopping UK drivers.
Not 100% sure but the fine is on the spot over £100.00 ????

Anyone driving in France from the 1st July 2008 is now required to wear a reflective jacket (e.g. yellow hi-viz jacket or vest) when leaving the vehicle in the event of an emergency.

The new law applies at any time of the day or night and affects drivers of all types of vehicle. The safety jacket must be accessible from within the vehicle and should be put on before exiting the vehicle.

Failure to obey this new rule could result in a fine  :-/

Plus still need warning Tri-angle.

Well I am looking in Vx Trade Club Book and there are two Cambelts here:
2.5/2.6/3.0/3.2 to ENG 08144299 - Part number 90500360
2.5/2.6/3.0/3.2 from ENG 08144300 - Part number 9128500

As Jaime said really as long as you have fitted it correctly and tensioned it correctly and when you have tuened the crank a number of times to make sure the cams are in time you should be ok, as said before alot of the cambelts did not have marks on at all.

Where do you get the book?? I need some kind of parts directory if avaliable??  ;) Sorry I called you Pinky, Pinky.  :y ;D

Secret Trapeze thing sorry mate ;)

 :( :( :( Go on Pinky  ;D

All done!! Nice clear lights on the elite, and yellow on the estate.

The light washers were a bit of a pain! Especially with big fat hands like mine! Just a bit of blood shed  :y

Could I change the cloudy yellow elite light units (96) for the nice white clear ones on the estate (98)?

Would this work, cause any probs? And how easy would it be for an easy Sunday afternoon type job  ;)

Might be all gummed up with muck??? I'd empty the tank by twisting out the pump.....water everywhere...then get a hose in there and give it a good blast out??? Gotta be worth a try for nothing.

Yeah... your right. Will give that a go first  :y :y
