Omega General Help / Re: Airbag Warning Light

after I had removed the air-bag and steering wheel to gain access to the dashboard display

the question is why  :-\ :-\ :-\

the clocks come out without removing steering wheel  :y

if you didnt turn ignition on whilst airbag was out then you havent plugged it back in properly when you put it back together, it will now need a tech2 to turn off light that is if you have found and put right what you have done wrong im afraid  :y

hazard warning lights come on - no alarm is sounded

this will mean that the alarm horn is not working  or been disconnected  :y  it lives under the scuttle drivers side next to the power sounder  :y

There's a (fixed, round) bit of plastic on the bit that falls out which is a sort of hinge pin IIRC, which just 'clips' into the fitting that's attached to the car.  It's a horribly  cheap-looking set-up for such an elegant car.

take the insert out, little black plastic bit clip on right hand side,  middle of ashtray at back in recessed hole is one screw, remove that screw and pull out as undoing it  :y

Omega General Help / Re: Headlight Adjusters Replacement
« on: 26 February 2012, 08:20:00 »
are you meaning the black outer case or the cog at the back of the light fitting ?  if you mean the cog at the back you will have to find out whether it is the cog on the screw or the cog on the light fitting, the screw does come out with some teasing and if you can find any at a scrapyard then you can replace them  :y if it is the cog on the light fitting then its another headlight  :(  but before you take the headlights out and throw them away try pushing down on the cogs at the rear of the fitting and turning screw this worked for me but be warned that the adjusters take alot of turning to adjust even the slightest amount  :y

hmmmmmmm  ignore this post just looked at picture  :-[ :-[ :-[

the only way to get them adjusters is off another headlight  :(

I'm guessing in the steering wheel

could also be drivers seat check and clean connections under seat  :y

if it is steering wheel bag, what sort of condition is your steering wheel in?  might be better going down the route of a complete wheel and bag off the bay  :y  airbags are slightly different across the year ranges afaik  :-\

hi all
question about my sons clit, took to a garage because revs were dropping even though foot had constant pressure on accelerator, garage said it was due to the brake pedal switch  :-\  the way he explained it was that the brake switch sends a signal to the engine managment which then decreases the revs to aid stopping  :-\ :-\  i myself have never heard of this and wondered whether it is indeed the case or the mechanic is talking out of his @rse  :-\

Eatmydust has a 3.0 litre mini fl with TC which is on all the time and no button to switch it off.
thats the same as some veccys then, there is a way to turn off TC in that case, start car then turn off and start immediately,  do this in one motion so the engine doesnt actually stop this disables the TC does on the vecs (why you would want to i dont know)  to re-enable the same procedure  :y
