i know you can self pressure test the water system by stick a tyre valve in a cap, etc. im wondering if you can do the same with an oil cap and with the plenum and injector rail off etc, get a foot pump one with a pressure reading on it, pump away and see were oil leaks from.

just an idea and im not sure what pressure you can pump it to if you can do it at all :-?

goodluck :y

the oil comes up one oil pipe through one oil union bolt into the oil cooler, from cooler up through other oil union bolt and back down other oil pipe.

so if you have replaced the oil pipes you can eliminate these

if the oil cooler was leaking you would have oil in your water

so it must be the oil union blots. do you have new washers top and bottom of oil pipe?

if you got code 19 you need to change the crank sensor its a really easy job and  only costs about 75

on my miggy it would rev to 3500 and bounce of like on a rev limiter or something, also with a code 19 the engine restricts detonation in the chamber protecting itself, this makes  the engine feels noticably dif. its all in the tech section hope this helps :y

Omega General Help / Re: Oil Around Plenum
« on: 17 May 2009, 13:28:47 »
we both worked the plenum down to change our oil coolers and there is not oiled parts in those areas just the injectors below the plenum. i thinking it is just a bit of errant spray from injectors? was the plenum tightened/ torque up, just thinking of bits to eliminate :y

cheers theboy but thurs before i changed hbv i was having a (damn ::)) good blast up the motorway. as soon as i change the hbv as soon as i start the engine for the first time as soon as i take miggy for first drive the crank sensor has gone!? :o

it all just too coincedental for my liking, but when sods law applied it makes sense >:(i very rarely had something that works 100% ever ::) i lll just have to change the cs and fix the next problem that pokes it ugly head up :( which it most definately will ;D ;D ;D

thanx :y

cheers big o bob i been checking the connections and all seems ok, but like you say it is strange that this happens to go just after i fix one problem :(

but that old mr sod seems to follow me, with his silly law that is apparrently true >:( ;D

but like tmx says if it werent pluged in the car wouldnt start or run at all, its all just so bloody inconvienent  :o

why me, WHY :D ;D :)

i did the paperclip test and got a code 19 as you may have read in my previous threads with the engine not revving above 3500 rpm

my question is, is there any chance the sensor is just dirty?

and 2. i was reading in the how to section on  changing crank sensor, written  i think by mark dtm, and it stated that the cs rarly fails and it is more likely the wiring inbetween. so can i just change the wire inbetween? i am an electrician ;D ::) :D so i do posed the technology

any advise please :y :y :y
