Just make sure that your seals are good on the turbo and there's no play in the shaft.otherwise you'll be paying for it later.

Hi and welcome. There are a few on here that'll do cambelts for you, DarthLooknee is one but there are many others too. Its not out of the scope of a keen DIYer either as access is good. When buying,make sure that you look carefully for rust (scabs on doors are very common). The cars are generally reliable but front suspensions and steering need careful inspection. Also the heater by pass valve can be problematic too (Not a difficult fix but worth knowing) If you are going for a four pot, then crankshaft sensors are a known fault.If you are unsure at all, why not post up your location and I'm sure than many members will be willing to inspect with you.

Newbie Welcome Area / Hello from a CDX Estate owner

Hi all. I have just got a 1999 CDX Estate with leather. It had a seized engine but it was supplied with a 50k spare engine that 'just' needed fitting. I've changed the cambelt, tensioners and water pump. I've also fitted a new DIS module, egr, maf and cat. The engine is in but I need to refit the gearbox. I'm looking forward to driving it.

I have both as my car originally had sat nav main unit that was pinched. Anyhow, my screen and controller were left in place and the unit I bought came with a spare set. £10 each delivered or £15 the pair

I better explain. I buy and sell 2nd hand alloy wheels. Mainly, I only deal in 17s and boy racer fitments but occasionally I get Vauxhall wheels. Often, they are a bit scuffed or bent. If they are useable, I sell them on, some I weigh in and some I send to a restorer that I know. Its not my main job but my wife and I are establishing it now as a part time business.

Got a single avon ZZ3 in 235 45 17 with 3,4,3 mm across it. Could do that for £25 delivered? have also got a set of minifacelift Elite rims with two nearly new 225 55 16 Wanlis on them for £100.(other two tyres are scrap) Reckon you could probably get £60 to £70 for the rims if you resold them. Only probs would be shipping which would be £30 but collection welcome.
