That would mean having the diagrams. And reading them. I mean, you don't buy a dog and bark yourself ;)

We get a lot of BMW owning spam applications, these get rejected

Not spotted a valid application, if you want to pm me when the application is put in I can go look for it

That makes sense.

Reckons he's using the name Carbine :y

Disclaimer - if he turns out ro be a lunatic it's not my fault.

Omega General Help / Rear ABS sensor wiring
« on: 01 June 2022, 12:14:51 »
Imagine a world... where a northern idiot is rebuilding an old Omega.

Now imagine he's putting the diff back in, with the ABS sensors.

And now imagine he didn't tag the cables (on the car) for which side was which. I've left the sensors and wiring in the diff and at least I've managed to put that in the right way round...

Accepting he'd be a monumental bellend for doing this... help would be appreciated. One cable is shorter than the other so the plug sits to the nearside of the car by an inch or so.

Note to self - next time take a lot more photos.

Also nice to see one in Moonland. And why is it on CD wheels? :y

It's actually a CD. I keep thinking it's an Elite because it's got Elite leather in it :D

That makes sense :y

Wow bleddy good effort that James!  8)

Long time since we've had an actual working on an Omega thread.  :y

Seconded. I should have took photos as I've been working on mine but I just get too into it to be faffing with my phone. Especially with a touchscreen.

Next project I'm getting a cheapy digital camera and using that.

Top writeup J!

Ive recommended this place to someone on Faceache - he reckons he has tried twice but has never got past admin approval. Any advice I can give him?

I of course joined far enough ago that I think I had to send a stamped addressed envelope. Although TB was very pleased to receive my picture unfortunately he was not able to return it.

Ideal, thank you!

From memory, I think it may be just the length of the wiring that differs.

That would make sense. I'm looking at the universal Bosch replacements that I can wire in and make sure it's long enough but neat... :y

Going to fit new ones whilst I'm doing everything else... Are the lambdas different for pre and post-cat on the 3.2? They both appear to have four wires but there's two part numbers coming up?

Christ. I'm a fairly competent DIYer (plenty of mistakes along the way, but gotta learn...) but some of these jobs are just terrifying!

Looks like a 2 series coupe to my eye. If that helps.

Definitely worth reporting to police, even just online, so they can do some digging. Intel is a big part of things now.

Is there a different bracket for the PAS pump or should I just take the grinder to the old one?

(I think they share the bracket but it's been months since I unmantled it...)

I haven't got as far as looking at that bracket yet on my engine, so if you get there first let me know  :y  It looks like it's a shared bracket...

Definitely a shared bracket, has to go on first to give something to mount the PAS pump onto :y
