Hi all, my air blowers run at highest speed setting no matter what i do even with the key out of the ignition, i have to disconet the battery to shut it off. Any ideas folks it has just started doing this today. :-/

No need to disconnect the battery just unplug the fuse IIRC it's the big green one at the top of the fusebox (30A) :-/

It will be your fan speed regulator, this is situated behind the passenger glove box on the right hand side, when you get a new one it will be the electronic version and not the mechanical one that shorts out, awkward to do if you have big hands.

I agree, I had exactly the same symptoms & had to change mine, awkward to get to but not too bad a job....

I had a K&N panel filter in mine & didn't notice any difference.
I currently have an induction kit & the only difference I can tell is the noise....

I think they're slightly better but not worth the extra that Vx charge, don't know about the factor ones....

Anyone that heard mine at the Not Wales Meet will know how bad it can get. I fear mine may now be past the "two plate" repair as there now is no noise but no restraint either & it was fine a few weeks ago....

Just to let everyone know the torx screw part number has changed from:-
13104167 to 13155557 14pence each
 I am not sure when it changed but I brought mine on Monday 03/09/07  
 The plastic bushing 90462823 are 21pence each
and the plates 9195961 are £1.13 each

Are you going to write a guide, with piccies
