Will be sanding the bonnet when the weather picks up ... what about Mustang white stripes for something different
Please play nicely. No one wants to listen/read a keyboard warriors rants....
I have a bit of a soft spot for the Mundanos (not the early buckets, but from about 2004 onwards). However, colleagues who have had the current ones have had all sorts of electrical gremlins - instrumentation, DAB packing up, satnav not moving etc - which have either taken ages to get resolved, or never got resolved. Its possible the local dealer in MK is shit of course
For the Mundano v Insignia debate, I have driven a detuned, 130bhp CDTi Insignia to the France/Spain border and back, and it was an effortless, comfortable drive, with no reliability issues except running out of brakes on the way down. So I wouldn't be put off by an Insignia. I've also been a passenger in a Mundano from Luton to the home of Stella Artois, again no issues with comfort etc.... ....all issues on that lads weekend were purely down to trying too many of Belgiums finest
Set of 17" elite alloys and a boot spoiler would set it off nicely.
It's a common problem.
We can't call it bad design, it makes the Omega apologists foam at the mouth. But you can buy an adapter to convert back to a reliable spin-off filter.
You need to hold the housing by whatever method suits you(large pliers, mole grips, strap clamp) to undo the cap. Then you can undo the bolt that attaches the housing to the engine. Having done all of that, throw the oppsing thing in the bin.
I shall go and have a look tomorrow...
You bought it then
Um, to be honest, Rumpel, not often up to 4,500 rpm, although after adding the Cataclean I drove the 17 miles to the Shell garage in Sport Mode to give the juice a chance to work - and it did! My non-elastic pension won't allow me to floor it very often.....
EMD, I'm glad to hear that it isn't an MOT issue: I do give it Cataclean before the test and a good 20-odd mile warm-up before taking it to the MOT centre. I usually have the first appointment of the day, so it is still warm for the test and I've never had any emissions comments so far.
Once again, I am grateful for the help on here, especially having my mind put at rest for the journey home from Swanage - I ignored the light!
Ron.
As said Chris, MV6 suspension, prodrive bootlip, prodrive front bumper, "silver" MV interior trim and seats, headlamp washers (no Hid`s)Same and no servotronic so actually pretty tidy to drive hardNever had a Sport but I thought they were standard GLS suspension.
