Good morning all from a very sunny highlands!

My HWL was flickering for a couple of days and now it is on constantly. Is there a switch under the handbrake itself? or where is it. I am a bit hampered with this damn rheumatoid arthritis that has suddenly appeared. TIA  :y :y

But I congratulate them completely for what they have achieved.

I agree with that comment TB. I have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis(I hope none of our OOF'ers get it) and it is the most painful thing I have ever experienced. Even being wounded in my right hand years ago. The service I have received up here has been phenomenal. Can't praise them enough.  :y :y :y

As Terbs said Rest in peace, Prince Phillip. :( You may have caused a bit of controversy at times, but you spoke your mind. I applaud that :y I liked the man. No nonsense and straight forward spoken. Loved his gaffs! (Spears, slitty eyes etc) He knew what he was saying though. RIP

As above! WTF? I was watching a vet programme this evening and a warning before it started was: "there are some scenes that may upset some viewers" or some such drivel. These are episodes where surgery to animals is what it is all about! And should be shown fully.
With this covid crap going on, as many on here have I am sure watched some rubbish. Last week I watched a cowboy film made in the 1950's. (yea yea I know!) with Randolph Scott. The opening shot (pun intended} was a warning "With language and attitudes of the era that may now offend". What? I think we are breeding a generation of wusses!  :-\ :-\

Just watched that. It was a good insight to the man. Just shows you how well respected he was in the F1 racing industry. Well done sir.  :y :y

Wow, looks fabulous and not a mask wearing person to be seen!!

That is why the snowgates at the bottom of Cairngorm have been closed to all Varche. We were getting hoardes of people from dan saff and not behaving responsibly. So no skiing for us locals up the mountain.  >:( >:(

There are countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and Latin America who have required a Yellow Fever certificate as a condition of entry for donkeys years, and I can't see much difference too be honest.  :-\

As most folks know on here, I worked worldwide but mostly Africa. If I did not have the appropriate vaccine jab cert for whatever the country demanded then I would be denied access. End of!. Hopefully it will be the same with covid. As posted by dtb I have a 'vaccination passport' which fits inside your passport.

As an aside, I get my batflue jab on Friday.  :y

Omega General Help / Re: Battery/Starter/ Instruments Problem
« on: 05 February 2021, 11:37:00 »
LOL ;D typical OOF answers! I took my extra key with me to lock it up while it was running. And the carpark was the doc's private CP.
Anyhoo, just been out in the car and everything is back to normal again?? I have however ordered a new battery which I ordered on wednesday has just arrived. Not bad for the highlands of Scotland.(better delivery up here than in Brackley!!) ::)
Thanks again guys. The usual OOF rapid response team in action.  :y :y

Omega General Help / Battery/Starter/ Instruments Problem
« on: 04 February 2021, 18:07:55 »
Hiya all! hope everybody is safe and well.  :y
I had an issue with the battery/starter this morning as I had to go to the doc's. The solenoid only clicked but no turnover. I then checked battery voltage and that was just under 12.1 volt. Slow charged for an hour or so and everything seemed ok so turned starter and only solenoid clicking again.Tried again for a further 4 goes and it started! Left it running as my doc's appointment was due. Driving to the doc's I noticed I had no speedo/mph and both indicators were on (not flashing) . I left the car running when I saw the doc (just in case I could not get home) Coming back instruments were the same. Pulled lights module out and back in, no difference. I stopped engine when back home and tried the starter a few times, no problems but still no rev counter etc. I did isolate battery when charging! Any ideas guys? TIA
