Omega General Help / ATWS
« on: 31 May 2014, 23:26:29 »
If I look with the Tech 2 into the ATWS there are a few extra options if it is a Saloon
Can anyone tell me what the special vehicle options are if you chose for the Police instead of other.

Seen a lot of insides behind the radio but never seen a cooling pipe.
Do you know where its coming from?
Is this a special UK thing?

Bluetooth kits work fine for voice calls when correctly wired into the aux-in of 2013. Converting the 2015 to a 2013 (programming option, although a couple of buttons are wrong).

Can you explain what the correct wiring is. And what about converting a 2015 to a 2013.

I will source another brake switch.

Check first if it is the brake switch.
Buy a new one.

Thanks. You mean the switch by the pedal? That one is not that clever
Yes that one.

, it would not know anything about any pressure, it is only a "on - off" switch, right? So it must be inside the ABS ECU... which scares me...
Pressure sensor is on the back abs unit.

reading through some threads on other GM forums it seems it is related to the ECU and I'm probably needing a new one. Problem here is that my car has the "latest" ABS ECU with ESP function and I can imagine it is rare as hens teeth and a pain to get a second hand one.

Just check the brake switch, this abs unit is better than the other ones.

Luckily this was fault has so far appeared only once, this morning it was ok.
Yes that was also my problem sometimes an error.

code c0131 was stored. Any ideas?

Code C0131 is the pressure sensor malfunction or incorrect sign.
Check your brake switch, turn on ignition and brake, if the brake lights come on with a delay the brake switch is failing.
When braking the pressure sensor detects increase of pressure but the ecu does not sees that the pedal movement because of the failing brake switch which results in an fault code.

I did have a similar fault code because of a failing brake switch. Replacing the brake switch solves all the problems.

It is not the same shape as I have on the "new" mirror. A lot wider and lower, the one in the mirror is merely square

This is the connector for the rainsensor mirror, the mirror for the rainsensor is different than the standard mirror.
There are 3 type of mirror connectors, pre 2000, 2000- standard mirror, 2001- rainsensor mirror.

If have a 2002 Omega with memory seats and memory mirror (without rainsensor) but the plug on the cable is for a mirror with rainsensor (like in the photo) to make it fit there is small piece of adapter loom (original Opel).
