i need to remove the stereo to get into change the climate control bulbs, but if i remove the stereo i am going to need the code and i dont know what it is, not in any of the booklets or documents i got with the car. vauxhall want £26 for it ! the stereo system is a phillips tape player with 6 cd changer i the boot, it does work just now but if i disconnect it, i will need the nOT code, anyone know of a way of getting the code for it for free ?is it the sc804?

Can go with that one as I have left the cooler on and flattened the 'weak' battery. Carry jump leads as a back up.
Voltage sensitve relay(Smartcom)
the drivers heated seat isnt going and i miss it now i hear its like impossible to repair this but is it just as simple to buy another and fit it straight in. also with airbags in the seat how do i go about taking it outcd version 4 bolts and connector. No air bag mind. Should be easy if you can find a matching seat.
Would like to know how i can remove my old standard Radio/Cassette player from my dashboard, there seems to be two holes either side of the unit - does it need a special removal tool or can i make one up myself?Mine needed the allen key to remove grub screw. tool pictured was £3 on line from halfords when i bought a pair 2 months back. They do make it much easier than nails.

How much for a new one ?I got a secondhand indicator switch from serek on this forum. Perhaps you will be able to get the headlamp switch rather than buying new.

i popped into to "Halfrauds" in my lunch break, no wonder all their branches are conveniently place in shopping centres, i was shocked at the price but Vx dealer is much further away, but won't be buying lamps from there in future :-?Think my local motor factors charged 50p, but that was a few years back.. they are working
actually these were the cheapo version, the "heavy duty" ones were over six pounds....
...should i be writing to my MP or "Watchdog" ?
