Thanks guy it was a fuse after all :)

Never had the problem..but just in case etc. Is it common and what causes it to blow? Is it weight related or just one of those things?

.... I would also find a way of disabling the output when the engine stops to prevent the battery getting drained though.

Kevin

Can go with that one as I have left the cooler on and flattened the 'weak' battery. Carry jump leads as a back up.

I put one just back from the triangle storage space for the same purpose. Used the 12v trailer supply as suggested earlier

Light around on / off  button works but the others are off. I have checked the bulbs and they are fine. There must be more than one power / earth. Is there a way to check Or is it likely to be a printed circuit fault

the drivers heated seat isnt going and i miss it now i hear its like impossible to repair this but is it just as simple to buy another and fit it straight in. also with airbags in the seat how do i go about taking it out
cd version 4 bolts and connector.  No air bag mind. Should be easy if you can find a matching seat.

Would like to know how i can remove my old standard Radio/Cassette player from my dashboard, there seems to be two holes either side of the unit - does it need a special removal tool or can i make one up myself?

many thanks in anticipation  :)

Mine needed the allen key to remove grub screw.  tool pictured was £3 on line from halfords when i bought a pair 2 months back. They do make it much easier than nails.

How much for a new one ?
I got a secondhand indicator switch from   serek  on this forum. Perhaps you will be able to get the headlamp switch rather than  buying new.
look in / leave post in parts bit

i popped into to "Halfrauds" in my lunch break, no wonder all their branches are conveniently place in shopping centres, i was shocked at the price but Vx dealer is much further away, but won't be buying lamps from there in future  :-?

actually these were the cheapo version, the  "heavy duty" ones were over six pounds....

...should i be writing to my MP or "Watchdog" ?   ::)

.
Think my local motor factors charged 50p, but that was a few years back.. they are working
intermittently!

Maplins was where I got mine, but double the wires over and also twist like the end of a wire. Its fiddly to get out as not a lot of the bulb showing. May be a rubber glove might help. A torch to see the contacts does help when putting back in. You don't need to strip down the level of the thread. Get to seeing the bulb and pull it out.
