I'm sure the official line is the card is only for the nameholder.

just bought 5ltrs coolant today - i'm sure it was 10.20+vat with abs card. it showed up a little cheaper on the trade club website but only by a few pennies

I would recoomend you get a card from autobahnstormers - it will pay for itself in no time

Everyone I speak to seems to recommend Bosch

But seen this in Stainless

Black seems to be the in thing at the mements, but I cant justify the price as much as I lov it.

But there may be a chance I have to go for a slimline, but these aint much cheaper than the Black one.

Just used argos as a basic price search as I was looking at there catalogue yesterday.

Any advice on long term running/service costs and reliabilty of any brands would be appreciated.

TIA. :y
I believe that only the slimline bosch models are made in germany, the rest are in poland. I have a hotpoint slimline dishwasher and for some reason if i use tablets it overfoams(the engineer says it is due to the hard water area we live in) so i need to stick to powder. I think if you go to john lewis they usually offer a 5 year gaurantee on some models.  If you are looking at spending 3-400 then i would go for a siemens. Also factor in cost of delivery and connection / disposal of old appliances as once you factor these in a local independent offering these services for free usually ends up cheaper.

I would say they would be right on the money - I got stopped once and question the accuracy and was shown a report which stated the speedo was tested for accuracy that very morning  :'(

General Discussion Area / 4 for 3 offer on oil to run all year
« on: 09 March 2009, 21:59:10 »
Just noticed that the 4 for 3 offer on oil is set to run for the whole year. 10/40 - 4x5ltrs = 34.47 + vat - on tradeclub.

If this is old news i apologise but just thought i'd share it

Ferguson videostar 3v36 (don't know how i remembered that!)front loader in early 80's - c450 pounds as they had only just come out. Infra red remote , 2 week timer: it lasted about 15yrs and it used to make alot of noise when rewinding. Otherwise very good reliable mahine

I think the odd post in general chat should be permitted but i would not endorse a separate section. We all encounter problems with non omega cars and for this purpose i feel it can be covered in general chat.

I just feel if you opened it up more it would end in a dilution of what this site should be targeted at - first and foremostly omegas.

Used to have a r-reg 2.0cd before my current one and it felt quiker off the mark. Mind you the facelift is a heavier car.
Though i have never driven a v6 i would go for that engine as i think the difference in economy is little and you'd get a smoother ride overall

Good Luck. I hate waiting whilst they test with that voice in the back of your head saying please pass, please pass!
