Thanks again Tony and Chris for a splendid venue today - much appreciated. Unfortunately it seems that my intentions to demo car cleaning seems to attract the rain  :-[ :-[- so again we only achieved the drivers side wing on Al's car - but the bar has been set and I shall be checking for updates and scheduling periodic inspections to see how it's coming along Al  :P :y
Great to meet some more new faces again and another variety of models on the showground  :) including the Bentley, Chevy and M3 - although maybe it was the presence of the two convertibles that brought on the rain  :-X.
I think the live guitar performance by Al in the car park was a meet 1st and very impressive it was too - again the bar has been set  ;) ;) ;) (no I can't play the guitar)
All finished with a rather nice curry  :y
Look forward to the pictures that anyone else managed to take - I'm not quite so sure about the video now  ??? :D

Cheers
Ian.

Thunderstorms forecast tomorrow  :o :o :o - shall I bring the gazebo again  ???

You're welcome to practice on TBE, ianu, I'd like to see you detail that bonnet and front wings ;D
:-\ do I need to add filler and a sanding block to my kit list then  ??? - it's silver anyway isn't it, so it probably looks fine anyway  ;D ;D

Whats all that about ? Some special treatment or something ? PM if you prefer

Hi Rog,
No special treatment as such. At an earlier meet at H/W I gave a demo on basic 'how to' car washing techniques with a bit of jargon busting and myth dispelling for any who had wondered what it was all about. Because of the weather it was a bit limited as we only managed to do part of a wing with the cleaners and polish.
I'd be happy to do the same again for anyone who missed it and is interested - I'm not a professional detailer - more of a very serious amateur that likes to spread the word  :D on getting and keeping that deep shine. No special tricks or allegiance to any one product - technique is 70% of the result I reckon  :y

Cheers
Ian.

Damn  >:( I thought that maybe you had some magic "instant showroom" stuff or something   ;D  ;D
..but that takes all the pleasure out of it doesn't it ??  :-\ or is that just me being a sad 'steward  :P

:y count me in too.
Dare I say I'll bring all my kit and do a wash/polish demo if you like  ;) - depending on the weather obviously. I'll offer my own to demo on - or if there is a likely candidate that would be prepared to sacrifice volunteer their paintwork - I'll see what I can do  :o.
Maybe someone could try and fix my airbag lamp  ::) ::)

look forward to it Tony..

Will that be with both cars again Tony  ;D.
Gents - if you can nail the date and make it reasonably close to the M5 you've got a couple more customers potentially  :y

146
:y well done Tony - your prize  :-\  :-\     ???  how about anothrr Omega  ;D

Excellent series of pics again ianu, thanks :y

Good job I have fast broadband here ;D, imagine that lot on dial-up :p

Thanks TB - and these have been resized to about 150k each too. Originals are between 2.5 - 4 megs  :P

Thanks Tooleater - it was such a bright day even the silver looked white (it was silver with silver alloys) - the white estate was quite blinding in the direct sun too  8)

Sorry I've had to break this into 3 because of character limits I'm afraid.
The shortlist - there are a lot on here still  :o - so go and have a cuppa while it downloads. I manged to get it down to 50+  :-X - even after removing all the ones of Tony's pair  >:(.

OK so here we go. An excellent day again at High Wycombe with a very good range of cars. I think we managed every engine varient from 2.2 to 3.2 and a 2.5 TD aswell  :y.
Unfortunately I seem to have lost an Omega though  :'( - I know it was in the pearlescent red and unless it's gone camouflaged it's obviously departed before I got my camera out - sorry I missed it - you know who you are  :-[ .

But unfortunately - Tony's 2 Divas just couldn't be avoided - so apologies for all the shots where his got in the  way  ::) - they do look nice though..

No hanging around - straight in there.. :D

1 bucket TB - could try harder on the wheels though  ;)

Smug Tim's 2.5 TD - and its still a 6 though  :y

Contrary to first impressions - general consensus was that Josh's car was brown...and couldn't be polished  ???

Must admit prefer the look of the old interiors - this with Tims' turbo boost mods

Diva #2 with her top off.. ::)

How many Estates can you get in one shot without Tony's 2  :P

A colour...?  ???

zzzzzzzzzzzzz  :)

Complete with Herb Garden - very impressive.. :y

Part 2 next

This one actually doesn't look brown at all Ken.. :y

Definitely the right way up - can you work it out ??

The incredible bending car.... :D

Diva #1 snook in the background again.. :-X

Paul - hope you've made a start on the rest of it now..the top of that wing looks good  8)

Dont you just hate it when a Diva car wanders across your shot.... >:(

Part #3 next
