Omega General Help / Battery/Starter/ Instruments Problem
« on: 04 February 2021, 18:07:55 »
Hiya all! hope everybody is safe and well.  :y
I had an issue with the battery/starter this morning as I had to go to the doc's. The solenoid only clicked but no turnover. I then checked battery voltage and that was just under 12.1 volt. Slow charged for an hour or so and everything seemed ok so turned starter and only solenoid clicking again.Tried again for a further 4 goes and it started! Left it running as my doc's appointment was due. Driving to the doc's I noticed I had no speedo/mph and both indicators were on (not flashing) . I left the car running when I saw the doc (just in case I could not get home) Coming back instruments were the same. Pulled lights module out and back in, no difference. I stopped engine when back home and tried the starter a few times, no problems but still no rev counter etc. I did isolate battery when charging! Any ideas guys? TIA

My Correos hottie in Mallorca has a yellow scooter and if she see's me in one of the local hostelries (which is most days) before she delivers to my road, she will stop and deliver any mail if she has any for me.  :-* Brilliant. She got a bottle of Uisge Beatha at Christmas before I eventually left.  :y :y

We need to stand up for ourselves now, balls to the EU until we've got our own people sorted

Spot on Rangie! but I fear there are loadsa remainers/lefties who will insist that we do offer the vaccines to the world neighboring nations before we all are fully vaccinated.  :-\ :-\

Don't mention Santander to me  >:(. I used to have an account with them years ago in Mallorca. I fell out with the so called manager so I dumped them. Never bank with you ever again I said  >:(. Forward a few years I opened an offshore bank account in IOM with I think NatWest with an interest of 8% per annum. Lovely! Forward another few years and guess who took over NW? bloody Santander! My current account earns 0.0%  :(. Thieving barstewards.  >:( >:(

Well! the old bus passed its MOT yesterday after a full 9 months sitting in the steam railway car park. Had to park it there because of flooding problems where I live. I have had one Omega written off already. I drove to the MOT station with the brakes on most of the way to clear the discs! Good result though.  :y :y

Varche: that was the whole idea (apart from STEMO's  :P :P) to see who has an interesting webcam near them.

Is it me or what? Since coming back from over there to back here after 9 months, I have noticed that all/most adverts on tv involve black people on a big scale since I left in March. News readers and reporters the same! What is going on? It seems to me that the longer this goes on the more difficult it will be to stop it.

Muslim Mayor, nothing more to be said. That is another side of the equation. I can see a total ban on alcohol in a few years.  >:( >:(

Might be a long time before you see the sun again. I wonder what tier5 will look like?

Thanks Varche!
No idea when I will get back there. I would have stayed there but I have a couple of health issues which needs to be addressed.
I can see every country in the EU in total lockdown soon with this new strain covid virus on the horizon.

I suspect we can expect Uncle Boris to dither until we have no alternative but another full on lockdown though.

Agreed TB. What a f**kup  :-X :-X
