Omega General Help / Boot Lids.
« on: 08 September 2011, 12:41:33 »
Hi, Can anyone let me know if the shape and size of the boot lid on a pre-facelift and a facelift are the same with regards to fitting the Irmscher type spoiler that attaches on 2 feet?

  Thanks,
            Pete  :).

Omega General Help / Re: Running Rough.
« on: 27 May 2011, 21:16:14 »
Thanks for the answers given.

Theres no oil in the plug wells, breathers cleaned not many miles ago and new plugs and leads fitted along with cam cover gaskets at same time.

Is there a way to test the Diss. pack without removing it or could anyone think of another cause for my problem if Diss. pack OK :-/.

       Thanks,
                  Pete.

Omega General Help / Running Rough.
« on: 25 May 2011, 20:52:41 »
Hi all,
For a while now I've had an intermittent fault which has got more frequent lately whereby the engine runs rough(shakes)when put in gear(under load)but will rev. up to high revs. smoothly when throttled slowly but splutters when throttled quickly.
Once the car is in top gear it seems to drive fine, even under harder acceleration?
I've done a paper clip test which only brings up code 145 which is to do with the immobiliser so assume this is an old stored code?
Any help or ideas would be appreciated as i don't have the money to start changing things willy nilly :(.

  Many thanks,
                    Pete :).

....
Thanks Andy for your suggestions and have tried connecting my charger up to the light wires in the boot but door still won't open on the Fob ....

I wonder if there was still enough charge in the battery to pop a fuse if you caught the live against the body when removing the light  :-/
I've got in my dadlocked car that way so I know it should work. But I've also used a key ..... eventually!  ;D
You need to be borrowing a small child from freinds or family!  ;D  ;D  ;D

  I don't think i can borrow any more after i broke the last one ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D.

You don't crawl through the ski-flap, you reach through & drop a seat back.  ;D  ;D

    I KNOW THAT i was just testing you :-[ ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D.

Hi All,
Unfortunately  I've not been well for a while so haven't used the car until today and yes you guessed it :-X, battery flat and can't open driver's door lock :(.

I've tried all the usual recommendations such as turning the key to almost breaking point even whilst trying to open the door but won't budge :(.

Can anyone suggest a way to charge up the battery from underneath the engine compartment.

PS. I can open the boot :).

     Any help much appreciated.

                    Pete :y.

aside from the lock being siezed from lack of use, using the key in the driver's door lock will open a deadlocked door with a flat battery .... honest!
If you really can't get into the car via the driver's door lock, but the boot will open, you can apply power to the boot light terminals. Flip the light out of it's recess, and put 12v across the wires. You'll be able to use your key fob then.
Or ..... open the boot, flip the ski-hatch down - it's possible, I just can't remember now how to do it, it's the same as a Senator's was & I've done it on one of them - drop a seat back & crawl all the wy to the bonnet release.  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

Thanks Andy for your suggestions and have tried connecting my charger up to the light wires in the boot but door still won't open on the Fob, door lock has been well sprayed with WD40 and moves freely :(.

             Cheers,
                        Pete :y.

I've got the same problem on my Elite with the front passenger side fan constantly on as soon as you switch the ignition on.
I've tried changing all the relevant relays(and yes they are awkward to get out)with no success so have for now just pulled the fuse in the box under the bonnet.
If it's not the relays then what else could cause the problem?

  Thanks,
             Pete :).

The heat doesn't seem any different when engine revs. increased and the heat from the vents goes cold as does one of the pipes from/to the Matrix.

 Thanks for your replies,
