Will my facelift 2.0 16v year 2000 have cruise fitted and only needs a new stalk to operate this ? i hear some models will have this

Hi guys n gals , central locking works just fine off the key , boot opens from button inside the car on the dash , however although red light works on the key nothing operates whats the problem please , hanks in anticipation

I'd start with changing the thermostat, if it's stuck open (as I think it is) it's letting the warming water from the block out into the rad thus cooling it before it is needing to be cooled. This will mean it'll take ages to warm up and use more fuel in doing so. HTHis the thermostat an easy job . if so will attempt it today , local motor factors are open

The needle should sit around the middle of the gauge once it's warmed up, if it's not getting that far then could be thermostat stuck open. Does it take a long time to warm up?yes it seems to take a while to warm up, it used to be about a mile down the road and was at normal temp :-/ when i say warm up it stays around 80

Car seems to be running cooler than normal at around 80 , what should i be checking for i.e thermostat ? :-/
