Will try to source a second hand one, if I don't succed will buy a replacement part.
Not a fan of replacement parts but due to this f... recesion and a fact of being unemployed for 10 months budget is a bit scarse.
Was thinking of changing a mig for something smaller.
Guy came today and offered a Passat, it has 110 000 miles on the clock same as mig when I checked the car at the mot it turned out it had 170 000 miles back in 2008.
Luckily for the guy he already went away before that check  >:(
anyway thanks RobG for the info

Its a replacement glass not an oem part

Thanks RobG.
So now I only need to find a green tinted one if I can cause the rest of the car is tinted slightly green.
Hope I'll find one at the breaakers here somewhere.
Cheapest option I found so far here is 130 ponds (90 for parts and  40 for labour)

Ok thanks for the info.
Is saloon and estate the same glass?

No rain sensor fitted (well I cannot see it) but it has dipping mirror

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / replacing seat motor?
« on: 26 April 2012, 21:29:45 »
How easy or better say hard is it to replace the seat motor, passenger seat won't go anywhere on buttons, drivers side is working ok.
Also are there different types of seat motors or they are all the same

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: External temp sensor?
« on: 26 April 2012, 21:27:04 »
Mine isnt working for some time but I didn't notice that it has effect on aircon.
When I asked the question here on the forum about the sensor some members said that it only serves to display the outside temp and nothing else.
I think the aircon has it own sensor for temp inside the cabin.
Also temp sensor is really cheap on ebay so maybe worth replacing

Omega General Help / Windscreen broken help actually info needed
« on: 26 April 2012, 21:13:20 »
Last night went to was the car and the front viper arm went down on the glass (wiper blade wasnt on it) and the glass broke.
There isnt a F*** word and similar which I didn't say after it happened
It didn't fall apart but there are several lines visible from the place where the arm hit.
It definitely needs replacing cause it cannot be glued.
Now what I need to know is the following
Car is estate minifacelift full of gadgets including an air suspension but without leather (guess it would be an elite in UK)
Are all front windsceens the same on opel/vauxhall omega B the same?
Are they the same for saloon and estate models?
Thanks for the info in advance.

Omega General Help / Re: BOOT RELEASE
« on: 17 April 2012, 22:23:41 »
Sallons have a boot release button (well facelift do not sure fore prefacelift).
But the button is useless when the car is turned on that why the boot mod is mentioned

As Mrks was saying about weight.
Use common sense.
More weight means springs compress more (work more) and that leads to wear and tear.
Bad roads done help either

Omega General Help / air leak somewhere on tractor mig
« on: 17 April 2012, 21:41:56 »
Got a problem wth starting.
When you try to start the car when it hasn't been driven for a day it starts and then it dies out after half a second.
Then you must press the throttle peddal and it will start after a couple of seconds of reving.
Apparently air is getting into the system and the fuel returns to the tank after the car was left for a while. Now I need to find the damn air leak.
Suggestions where to look first would be appreciated.
Also one thing to ask is if it is the fuel pump leaking somewhere how diificult is it to replace the gaskets on it by myself or it is better left to a mechanic to do it?

Passenger side plastic panel detached today from my sw mig.
It is the panel that goes beneath the both doors.
I can pt it back but I want to know is it possible to buy the clips that hold it from undereath the car.
I have no idea how many go on the car I'm guessing four or five as there are approximately that many holes on the panel.
Part number if avilable would be ideal of course.
BTW it is minifacelift.
