Hows this for gross stupidity?
Taxman writes to me saying i owe them £100 fine for not sending in a tax return.  I contact them next day and say if u had sent me one i would have completed it & sent it back - like i have done in previous years.  Told to download copy off their web site, complete it and send it in & send "mitigation" & fine would be removed.  Did all this.
Then received "statement of account" showing £100 fine and a £100 cancellation - zero owing + letter confirming fine rescinded. Result!
A couple of weeks later get another statement of account showing £0.51 interest on the original £100 now owing.  Wot a bunch of winkers!!!
I shall tell them to get st*ffed.

A young man excitedly tells his mother he's fallen in love and is going
to get married. He says, 'Just for fun, Ma, I'm going to bring over
2 other female friends in addition to my fiancee and you try and guess
which one I'm going to marry'.
The next day, he brings 3 beautiful women into the house and sits them
down on the couch and they chat for a while. He then says, 'Okay,
Ma.guess which one I'm going to marry.'
She immediately replies, 'The red-head in the middle.'
'That's amazing, Ma. You're right, how did you know?'
'I don't like her.'

hi all, i bought a 2.6 vectra with a misfire (very cheap) only misfires at idle seems to pull through the gears quite well. fault codes have been,
random/multiple misfire
misfire cyl. 1
now and again brings up code (quite rare, been starting it up loads)
misfire cyl. 2
misfire cyl. 6
air mass meter low input
has had both head gaskets replaced due to low compression on two cylinders has had new coil pack on cyl. 2,4,6
any suggestions before it costs a fortune?
am thinking that another sensor is causing misfire as coil pack 2,4,6 is new. thanks in advance.

if its a quick moving thread then posting with quote is relevant...

However its a shame the system cant filter out multiple quotes within a quote that has just been posted, and filter out some of the older ones
