Got the Estate thro MOT ok last Saturday with an advisory - "worn" rubbers on centre part of exhaust!  Only £0.60 each on http://www.buypartsby.co.uk/exhausts_display.php?txtmodel=Omega&Submit=Next&txtmake=VAUXHALL but £7.50 carriage!!  Begrudge paying that amount of carriage on £1.20 parts.
Anyone know Vx prices or WHY?

Sounds a good idea to fit new parts to your car and then flog off the used and potentially knackered parts on ebay.

Altho!!! - fitted second hand ABS ECU to the Estate recently and then flogged the old unit to a reconditioner for a princely sum!

All cars post 2001 >:(
We have a 2001 Y reg Astra 1.6 8valve, that will go up to £300 then. Not exactly a gas guzzler, it does 33mpg local and 50 on a run. What are families supposed to run?

A horse & cart, because that's what it'll take. Where as if you buy a comercial vehicle, you only pay £180, because my mate has big American 6.6 V8 turbo'd Silverado & it only costs him £180  >:( >:( >:(

Had a G reg Carlton CDi new (company car) - swapped it due to hi mileage after 18 months - got another.  One night followed Renault van, which had exactly the same reg number as my R reg Carlton, in the later Carlton!!  Renault plate cloned - odds on this happening?

Used to do that to work on Cooper S on rallies in late 60's.  Thought that was quite normal
