Hi, I have been having trouble trying to find and exhaust manifold gasket (manifold to head) and studs/nuts for the head to manifold and manifold to downpipe. Anybody have any suggestions on where to get them ordered from?

It's a 51 reg 2.2 Petrol.

Thanks.

Still looks good fella. Will have to try and meet up when I get mine back on the road. Mind you though, it's not a patch on yours and desperately needs some tlc on the cleaning side of things.

Today on my 2.2 I've changed the rocker cover gasket and removed the exhaust front downpipe and manifold. The manifold is cracked and now every stud at the downpipe end has snapped so it ain't going back on now. Fortunately none of the head end studs have snapped. All I have to do is find the correct manifold and hope the downpipe is the correct one because the manifold isn't. 😠

Just out of interest, as mine has a manifold from a 2.0 rather than the 2.2, what are the differences?

I only ask because the downward section of the pipe seems to be too long. I'm in need of a new manifold as mine is cracked and I need to stop this knocking but want to make sure I get the right one. The part number on the manifold is 90400248

Needs some advice guys please? My exhaust is knocking under the car,  it is knocking where the exhaust bolts to the gearbox bracket but it seems to me that the down section before the first bend is too long. Did they make 2 manifolds and front pipes for these cars?

It's a 51 plate, 2.2 petrol saloon.

Thanks guys.

Signed up to Autobahnstormers last week but not had anything back saying I can join in. Do they normally take their time?

Depends how busy the secretary is really but not an instant process like on here.  :y As said, a shame Keith didn't see this post as he was on when you posted. If nothing happens within the next few days either pm Keith or one of us (ABS members, including myself) and we can contact ABS on your behalf.  :y

OK cool thank you. I appreciate they may well be busy, just wondered how long I should wait.
