Omega General Help / Re: 3.0 V6 REMAP (omega)
« on: 18 October 2009, 17:10:37 »
I had my car rolling roaded about 5 months ago, have a few toys under the bonnet...
The bloke that did the work told me that the best mod i had was my 3.8 fpr.
Modifying the fuel flow on a mig is just as good as a remap, as all the remap on a mig will do is tell the car to use more fuel.  :y

I'm glad you have got to the bottom of your problem, or at least you think you have.
Hopefully this will have saved you some money.
As far as some of our other members go, i can't speak for everyone.
All i know is some of our members have started to take it upon themselves to sound a little above other users, just because they have got lots of knowledge, but everybody has to start somewhere.
This site is starting to get overly bitchy, i don't know how it all starts, and i don't know want to know why.
All i do want to know, is that when i'm in this situation there will be somebody on here that can help me.
Otherwise what is the point of being a member on this forum????
 :( :( :(

Omega General Help / Re: Gearbox change...
« on: 23 May 2009, 15:52:12 »
basically, the f28 gearbox is fitted as standard to a calibra 4x4 turbo.
I have been told by a good mate that works with them, that when they are modified to run with a rear wheel drive car it will make it quicker off the mark, but better on long runs due to the sixth gear.
Just wondered if anyone on hear had tried this??

I am just enquiring on here....
I am thinking about fitting a different gearbox when my clutch needs changing.
I'm thinking of putting a modified F28 gearbox in.
what does everyone think??
I've been told that the 6 speed box is supposed to make the miggy drive a lot better, as the ratio suits the car??

Omega General Help / Rolling road..
« on: 02 May 2009, 20:07:35 »
I had my mv6 rolling roaded today...
I managed to get 215 bhp & 241 lb of torque.
I have a few mods on my car, but my main one is probably the air resonator.
Included a copy of the results.
Do they seem okay?
or high or low for my car?

Omega General Help / Re: Replacing Rocker Cover Gaskets
« on: 28 April 2009, 18:22:02 »
Tbh, the hardest bit about repairing the cam cover gaskets is taking the plenum off.
Once thats off it is really easy.
If you can't get the bits from the oof shop(as they have sold out), try these...
ftp://http://www.vauxhall-car-parts.co.uk/
I bought all of the bits needed from them, apart from the sealant as they didn't have any.

once the 8 bolts have been removed it is just a case of breaking the seal that has formed using the silicone that was used last time.
