My CCRT700 unit is a BOSE one, its printed on the cassette flap, for the want of a better word!

Without the rear shelf speakers I don't think it'll be a BOSE system :y

heheh... you said flap ;D

pretty sure a CCR2006 is a straight swap, no wiring to play with!

Very many thanks for the info Dave, happy with harness and steering adaptors.

Any thoughts on replacing the speakers?

Would it make a significant difference, what sizes?

having ripped out my CCR2006 from my CDX and fitted a new stereo in i would say get the head unit running first and then assess if the speakers need replacing?

The speakers in the Omega CDX should be 4ohms so they are more then good enough as a starting point  :y

selling? ;)

sorry mate, keeping just in case i sell the \cdx and want to transfer the Kenwood

nooooooooo you said you decided to keep the CDX :(

no worries mate ;D

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: heated rear window interference
« on: 10 November 2008, 13:55:48 »
your rear window is also the antenna from the radio (i didnt know about this til i got my first omega) but i'm sure there were things you can do to ease the interference (cant remember what but someone will be along to help with that soon enough)

its gonna be worse in a relatively low signal area though

the sat nav units that are standard in some omegas are the Siemens NCDC 2013 and 2015 if that helps

2015 has sim card slot for phone :y

it'll work fine

mine decided to disconnect itself temporarily but on accidentally flattening the battery and then recharging it, stereo and ALL its functions worked fine afterwards
